Honestly, leaving the snail inside would be fine. The creature would digest it eventually. But watching the squishy blue jelly blob contorting over the shell trapped in its body was just objectively hilarious.
"Pew!" Bubbly deflated like a punctured tire, rolling into a corner to fake a sulk. Exactly three seconds later, it launched itself right back into the trench to resume its snail-hunting crusade.
The terraced fields suddenly erupted with boisterous energy. One human and a horde of slimes raced through the mud, digging and rummaging, their relentless chatter and laughter filling the air.
