Before Ewan could figure it out, Bubbly beside him exhibited extremely abnormal behavior. It slithered over, sticking flush against his hand right next to the blue stone. The transparent little mochi's entire body trembled violently.
Through their mental link, Ewan could feel it with absolute clarity. Bubbly was not afraid of the foreign energy radiating from the stone; rather, the slime was craving it. It was an instinctive and intense hunger that made its loose, jiggly body want to lunge forward.
