The small plot of land that Ewan and the Slimes had renovated had yet to be utilized for its proper purpose. The courtyard surrounded by the fence was spacious, but everything was in utter chaos.
Ewan crossed his arms over his chest, his fingers lightly tapping his chin. Living hand-to-mouth like this was not a viable long-term strategy. It was true that they were earning credits, but looking around, their house was still completely bare, and the money flowing into their pockets vanished just as quickly. Ewan thought perhaps he should rebuild everything properly; this house desperately needed reconstruction.
Even if they bought land at The Moon's Fork, living there was a matter for the distant future. For the present, he still needed to take care of their current home first.
Deep in calculation, Simon's clear voice echoed from the alley outside: "Ewan! I am here!"
