As the sunset bled into the western horizon, Ewan recalculated his aquaculture strategies for the pond.
The first section would be dedicated to raising snails. Snails reproduced effortlessly and were not overly demanding regarding their environment, a simple, spacious pond would suffice.
The second pond section was designated for river crabs. This crab species appeared slightly larger than the Blue Crab, and since Ewan was unfamiliar with their specific traits, he decided to just breed them, toss in some moss, and monitor their progress.
The remaining pond area would be utilized to cultivate Blue Crabs. Technically speaking, the meat quality of this species was the most exquisite, but they were also the hardest to scavenge. Not knowing how the farming process would pan out, Ewan did not dare to breed a large batch, opting to catch only two for a trial run.
