The waterfall in Bai Lingling's dream world was still as beautiful as ever.
The water rushed down from the high rocks in a silver sheet, clear and lively, and the mist rising from it drifted softly through the air like cool silk.
Moonlight poured over the whole place, turning the water pale and bright, and the stones nearby were washed so clean that they looked as if they had been polished one by one by some extremely hardworking water spirit.
Bai Lingling always liked this place.
Compared to the nonsense outside, compared to ugly relatives, ugly fiancés, ugly merchants, ugly schemes, and her ugly mood from cultivating all day just to watch her inner core recover slower than a lazy snail climbing uphill, this dream waterfall was simply too good.
The air was cool.
The water was sweet.
The whole place smelled fresh and clean.
Most importantly, there were no stupid people here.
At least, that was what Bai Lingling believed when she first arrived.
