Chapter 90 - 83 - Profession Rooms

This room was another football stadium, but what was stunning was that the previous Blacksmith room had been quite dark with a solemn atmosphere, while this room was dazzling with various colorful, glittering bottles and jars of various sizes spread everywhere.

Even if Eric were dumber, he could still understand what this room was.

Yes, it was an alchemy room, as large as the Blacksmith room, and he had no idea how Lysandra had stuffed them both inside such a small hill.

Eric looked around, and he had to say the room was even more exaggerated than the Blacksmith room—far more.

The number of 'Space Pouches' was tens of times, if not more, than in the Blacksmith room; countless bottles and whatnot were stuffed inside the countless shelves, cabinets, and so on.

He would have to spend quite some time organizing all these.

Eric was very tempted to keep opening these bottles, tasting these colorful 'fruit juices,' but he held back for now and looked around.

Riya was losing her mind in ecstasy. She nearly called Eric inside and forced him to share her joy and excitement with her.

So many potions!

If her plan worked, then this room would be the gateway to becoming omnipotent!

Eric saw some recognizable instruments around, such as mortars, pestles, cauldrons, flasks, beakers, burners, and various chemicals and reagents. Other than these, there were many more completely unknown things—one of which looked very nostalgic to him, as it almost looked like a micro-oven.

Eric didn't bother checking any of them at that moment.

He then noticed the same Black Crystal—or rather, Memory Orb—with a note beside it, telling him similar things as the Blacksmith room, except that there were simply too many Tier 1 and 2 ingredients, potions, and pills Lysandra had accumulated since her 'robbery days,' and so she had dumped all of them onto him. She even told him that he could sell them off if he didn't need them.

Other than that, there were many books on a few long bookshelves. According to Lysandra, she wasn't certain about the things recorded on the Memory Orbs, so she dumped all these alchemy books she had onto him.

Riya could no longer hold back and cried out, "BOOKS! Quick! Quickly grab them and take a quick look inside!"

She was jumping with excitement, as if she had spotted an oasis in the desert. To her, it was indeed so, since all those 'Memory Orbs' were inaccessible to Eric at that moment.

Eric nodded but then shook his head. "Not now. Let's check if there's anything else in the other rooms. There's no cure specifically mentioned for me here, so I'm guessing it should be in another room. If not, I'll return here later to recheck."

Neither Eric nor Riya could currently differentiate between Potions or Elixirs, as they had never seen one before.

For now, Eric knew that these colorful liquids weren't water or fruit juice, and he'd better not drink them randomly—as much as he was tempted to do so right then.

Riya quickly nodded. It had been a close call!

She had been too excited watching so many alchemy materials that she forgot to monitor Eric's mental condition. Thankfully, he had matured enough and didn't start chugging them out of curiosity. It probably would have killed him, as these things might have been poisonous to him at that stage.

Eric went to the next room.

By now, he had realized that this was the work of some sort of 'black magic'; otherwise, there was no way doors so close together on the outside could contain interiors the size of stadiums.

The next room wasn't gigantic—just a pitiful basketball-court-sized space.

This room had two open sections inside: one side resembled a workshop or forge (without any large fireplace), and the other had racks of Crystal Balls, inks, quills, and many other things.

Eric soon found the Memory Orbs and the note beside them, which explained that this was the 'Artisans' and 'Enchanters' room. Lysandra didn't seem to be a big fan of either, so she hadn't collected much.

According to Lysandra, 'Artisans' was a broad profession encompassing everything—even blacksmithing—while 'Enchanters' were people who could enchant weapons. It was no longer considered a sole profession, as it formed the basis of any Tier-based blacksmithing.

In other words, enchantments were a middleman for all artisan products.

Without further delay, Eric headed toward the opposite door, which was a large room.

This room similarly had two sections: one side had racks of books labeled 'Runes,' along with papers, stones, crystals, rune-inscription materials, rune-etching tools, and various other materials Eric didn't understand. He wisely left it to his top A.I. agent, Riya, to uncover.

Riya was speechless.

The other section of the room was much larger than the Runes' area and felt more like a place to learn and perform black magic.

Eric could see Lysandra had been quite excited to complete this 'black magic' section.

He picked up the note, which was much thicker than those in other rooms—and read it.

It was about Arrays.

Yeah, Eric had kind of guessed that too, since Lysandra had made the 'Make It Romantic' Array. She must have had significant expertise in them. Now, he could also guess that the cave's sudden expansion was likely due to some sort of Array manipulation.

Eric continued reading and found Lysandra discussing Rune Styluses, Portable Arrays, Array Catalysts, and more.

Lysandra kept writing and Eric stopped reading.

It was beyond him.

He grudgingly agreed that this Array section was too demonic even for him.

Perhaps it would be best to burn the room later—before someone accidentally summoned a god.

Like all other rooms, there were plenty of Space Pouches here, though the Alchemy room still had the most.

Eric felt numb and helpless inside.

He believed that just from selling these 'Space Pouches,' he could become a trillionaire in this world.

He had never seen Cooper or any other Mana Wielders in Ringwood Town carrying such pouches. Either they left them at home, or they simply couldn't afford them.

The next room was the Scroll Maker's room—small but resembling a proper office or painting classroom, complete with quills, inks, inscribing tools, parchment, papers, and more.

Eric soon found the note labeling it as the Scroll Wright room.

According to Lysandra, scrolls were always in demand and expensive, as not everyone could afford to buy or learn them easily. Even if someone learned to inscribe them, successfully doing so was another matter entirely.

Just learning scroll-scribing cost a fortune, as one mistake meant the scroll had to be discarded.

But since Eric had a wealthy mother-in-law, he didn't need to worry like those beggars—he could drain money through the bathroom pipes.

This profession was for Mage and helped train Intelligence stat, but one needed to know spells to practice inscribing scrolls. Only a few scroll types didn't require spells, but they weren't much help in training stats either.

In conclusion, Eric understood that a scroll was a one-time-use tool to cast spells. A Mage using one didn't need to know the spell or possess the Element —they just needed to send their Mana according to the drawn chart. Casting time depended on the user's Mana Control.

In other words, lower ranks couldn't use high-tier spell scrolls due to their lack of Mana Control.

Eric found scrolls intriguing, despite his reluctance to study books. But since this wasn't his 'destined' room, he moved to the opposite one.

The next room was 'small'—just a large pond-sized space, completely empty, with a giant circle drawn in the middle, filled with strange patterns.

Eric guessed it was a room for summoning a Demon Lord through black rituals and sacrifices.

On one side was a lectern-like structure with switches, keys, and a single page on top.

It explained that this was a gravity training room—a Gravitation Control Array was drawn on the ground, and the gravity within it could be adjusted using the switches.

Eric as well as Riya felt numb inside their hearts and minds, almost as if they had taken anesthesia in their souls.

Only now did Eric recall that Elara once said Lysandra had a habit of doing whatever she did to perfection.

Eric could now completely agree—not only had Lysandra left behind wealth, knowledge, training materials, and now even a personal gym!

He also deeply suspected Lysandra had hidden countless Arrays across the cave—perhaps even the entire island—that he might never discover or use.

He knew of the 'Make It Romantic' Array only because its effect was visible, and Lysandra had mentioned a few others the day before. Who knew what else lurked unseen?

Eric, no matter how little faith he had in himself, didn't believe he could learn everything Lysandra had left behind. Maybe Riya could help with memorization and some practical aspects, but knowing, doing, and the time required to make use of it all wouldn't shorten.

He had to live inside this cave for a long time to finish it all alone.

Though Eric wasn't in any hurry, that didn't mean he'd spend so much time learning—especially just after leaving the orphanage, which he'd waited to escape for over a decade.

He needed suicidal adventures! Ahem, as an Ultimate Boss, he probably wouldn't face too many troubles like heroes did—but he wanted to travel and enjoy the world.

Eric silently left the Gravity training room and noticed there were still three rooms unchecked.

He never thought there would come a day when he would feel like vomiting from having too much.

He quietly entered the next one.

Thankfully, it was just a simple room. Inside stood a massive king-size bed—or, more accurately, a giant-sized one.

Aside from that, there was an empty wardrobe, an attached bathroom, and so on. Of course, it held no Memory Orbs or Space Pouches.

Now, only two rooms remained.

Eric decided to check the last room in the corridor first—the one immediately to his right.

Upon opening it, what greeted him was…
