The weight of Xander' question hung between us like a challenge none of us dared to break. My pulse hammered against my throat while I forced myself to remain motionless, afraid that even the smallest movement might shatter whatever fragile understanding we'd reached.
My mates had learned to accept sharing me, but those arrangements had always involved separate encounters behind closed doors. Never once had we discussed the possibility of being together simultaneously. The very idea seemed impossible given what I knew about alpha territorial instincts.
Alpha possessiveness was the stuff of legends. Even with Ash and Alaric, who showed more flexibility than Xander in most situations, I'd never dared imagine they might actually want to share me in the same moment, in the same space.
