Chapter 68 - Chapter 68: You have a lot of nerve.

Kao Dao Ji's eyes trembled violently.

His eyes and pupils shrank and expanded rapidly, and his vision turned dizzy.

As a faint blue splendor reached his head.

Subconsciously, he could not help but utter a scream of shock.

Countless memories entered his brain, like a million scattered pieces.

At the end, as the blue light flickering in his palm settled, his gaze slowly regained direction.

"What a headache." Kao Dao Ji touched his forehead.

He grumbled.

"I feel as if I had read a 500-chapter novel in one sitting…" He muttered, whilst sometimes he had sped through several novels in his lifetime.

Reading a hundred chapters without a care, at the end, he would only end up with a mild headache, but he would not be able to recall most things, merely a vague outline of the plot.

Yet an uneasy feeling sat within his mind.

"Are you ok?" Le Tu suddenly asked, his expression concerned.

As he tilted his head to observe him.

Kao Dao Ji shook his head.

"No, no, everything is fine. I was just overwhelmed. The amount of information was beyond what I could ever imagine…" He replied casually whilst waving his hand away.

Yet despite his casual tone, he stared at Le Tu and frowned.

His expression was rather peculiar.

"Star Constellation…Just what she was planning?" He wondered internally, before relief appeared in his face.

"Thankfully, Fang Yuan or whoever is holding that Cicada has kept her distracted or else..." He wiped the sweat off his forehead nervously.

"Hey, how long will you act as if you had seen a corpse?" Uru Hong Jing spoke annoyedly.

Naturally, Le Tu and Uru Hong Jing did not help Kao Dao Ji entirely for free; Kao Dao Ji promised to share the experiences of Cultivation and inheritance with the group upon finishing reading their memories.

At that.

Kao Dao Ji sighed.

He rapidly took a brush and began to write.

"Da Jia Jia specialized in Earth Path. Her focus and understanding of cultivation were centered around the usage of jade.

Jade is a sub-specialty of Earth Path, in which one isolates a certain property within Earth Path, leading to several creations.

White Jade is about purity and refinement, Green Jade concentrates most of the heavens and earth's vitality and health, and Yellow Jade is about fortune and prosperity.

In a way, Jade is an attempt of Earth Path in reaching the levels of purity found within Metal Path.

However, the cost of doing so is losing the flexibility and versatility of earth."

Upon writing those words, he then began to write several series of Gu Recipes and Killer Moves.

Jade Armor, Turning Earth into Jade, Jade Beauty, Green Jade, White Jade, Black Jade.

Le Tu was the one most excited for this; he delightfully read all the contents, whereas Uru Hong Jing remained frowning.

How exactly could he make use of this knowledge?

Whereas Kao Dao Ji also pondered over its contents.

"Purity…" He muttered under his breath.

Cloud Path was a rather broad concept, whilst its name merely implied the existence of clouds, like those in the sky.

It was a bit broader than this.

Whilst it was a bit hard to define it, Cloud Path represented the myriad of gases that could be found within the world, concentrated in large volumes and densities.

Ashes, steam, and other substances that adhered to the air could be considered to belong to Cloud Path.

Whereas the air itself could be said to belong to Wind.

"Is a bit counterintuitive, however. I guess to mimic Wind Path, one needs to do the opposite? Instead of seeking purity like with Jade, one should seek diversity, variety, and lower density within the material. By mixing a thousand gases, Cloud can effortlessly mimic Wind Path…"

As this revelation dawned upon him, he felt his own attainment condensing.

Several ideas circulated in his mind, and he even made use of a 'Culture Makes One Wiser' to amplify his mind to the limit.

Yet.

He shook his head.

"The revelation was too fleeting and its effects too shallow…" But he licked his lips.

"But is not hopeless yet. I already arranged everything."

His eyes gleamed deeply.

As he stood up.

"My friends, you should probably hide. He's about to arrive…"

As those words were spoken, Le Tu and Uru Hong Jing nodded to each other, and they immediately headed towards the bottom of the ocean.

Whereas Kao Dao Ji merely chuckled.

Effortlessly, he opened the entrance of his aperture with a simple gesture, and as this happened.

From a distance, Kao Yu Hun could be seen.

He looked completely anxious.

Since his Will had been sent to his aperture no further messages had been released, which meant that there was very likely an ambush inside!

Considering this, and considering how important Kao Dao Ji was for the Clan's plans, the Supreme Leader ordered him to reach as quickly as he could, by any means necessary.

Yet, that same determination to arrive there no matter how had been noticed by his enemies.

Several times, he had been intercepted, attacked, and delayed.

They were taking advantage of his position to harass him, and with some luck, even kill him, a mighty Rank 7.

Yet he had no other choice but to grit his teeth and endure it!

But as he drew nearer, he saw the walls of Kao Dao Ji's apertures opening.

He entered immediately

And as he did.

His face froze.

"What?"

A familiar scene stood before his eyes.

Kao Dao Ji stood surrounded by three corpses whilst sitting on top of a cloud, furthermore he did not even look wounded or exhausted.

instead he was enjoying a green tea carefreely.

"Ahhh…How refreshing." He muttered to himself and then turned his head.

"Oh? You are late." He shook his head several times as he spoke those words.

"…"

"…"

"…"

Kao Yu Hun blinked several times, still in disbelief that this was not some kind of trickery.

He found it far more likely that Kao Dao Ji had been enslaved, and the scene ahead of him was an illusion than that he had defeated them so easily.

"Heh. Heh. Heh." Kao Dao Ji laughed heartily.

"You are looking at me with such a surprised face, well…If you are curious, how I managed to do that."

He raised his hand, from which a thin stream was slowly released.

"Let me demonstrate!"

The stream was suddenly set alight by a golden aura, despite the weakness of the aura, Kao Yu Hun felt a strange beauty and resonance from it.

"You used that method to defeat your opponents?" He muttered in confusion, whilst the technique looked a bit strong, it was nowhere near enough to defeat three Immortals at once.

"I have another trick, but I do not want to show it to you." Kao Dao Ji shrugged calmly.

"Anyway, you know why I am doing this.

Don't you?"

He turned his head towards the trio.

At that, Kao Yu Hun frowned.

His eyelids trembled.

Why had the nature of the mission changed so greatly?

"Wait. If that is truly what happened, why has my Will not said anything to me during all this time?" As Kao Yu Hun had this realization, his wariness increased.

But Kao Dao Ji chuckled.

"Oh, that? Let me show you."

With another gesture, he took from his aperture a tiny cloud from which an utterly enraged copy of Kao Yu Hun could be seen.

"You dumb brat! Why the hell did you do that????" Kao Yu Hun's Will shouted in pure rage.

But suddenly, its expression froze.

Just like the main body it had been shocked to the core at the scene.

Kao Dao Ji chuckled.

"Well…Is not that he was captured by the enemy or anything, but as I said, there is a trick that I have, that I do not want to reveal just yet.

That is why I was forced to trap your Will.

But if you do not believe my words, why don't you go and check its memories?"

"…" Kao Yu Hun's eyelids trembled several times as the memories entered his brain.

And once they did, his expression became very fierce.

Suddenly.

Kao Dao Ji's eyes widened.

As he was punched in the stomach by Kao Yu Hun.

"You dumb brat!" He roared.

Then, a vein popped in his forehead.

As he hit Kao Dao Ji, who was holding onto his stomach, right in the face.

"You!" He grabbed his hair with his full strength.

"Made me go!" He punched Kao Dao Ji's face repeatedly, furiously.

"Through all this trouble for nothing!" He tossed him aside with a casual kick and began to chase after him.

The scene repeated for roughly 10 minutes before his heart finally settled.

Kao Dao Ji rubbed his face that was covered in deep wounds, and which even now had fresh blood.

"Alright. I am calm now. What kind of nonsensical thing are you asking for in exchange for that group?"

Kao Dao Ji replied.

"Oh, Grand Elder…mmm…I was not planning to give them away, not yet. At least.

I am sure the Da Clan will want to take them at some point, and they will be willing to give several concessions to the Clan.

Including Immortal Gu." His eyes shone deeply.

"I do not think the Da Clan will be unwilling to give away a pair of Immortal Gu to rescue their Clansmen, especially because they too carried Immortal Gu alongside them.

Additionally, I think they will also be providing the Clan with several materials and the like.

Regardless…" Kao Dao Ji's eyes shone as he asked.

"I do not mind losing the rest. However. In exchange, instead of receiving Immortal Gu from their treasury, I will request from ours…"

Kao Yu Hun stared at Kao Dao Ji, hearing how he intended to gain even more Immortal Gu.

For an instant, he wanted to give him another beating, but he held back.

He cleared his throat.

"Alright." He sighed.

"What Gu…Do you intend to choose?"

"mmm…I do not have anything specific." Kao Dao Ji replied honestly.

"I just want an Immortal Gu that either is good for deductions or that has an Immortal Killer Move which can be used to achieve the same.

As for the other? Well, I am interested in Gu that belongs to the Yin side of things.

Could you provide me a list of the Immortal Gu within our Clan's possession that meet those criteria?"

Kao Yu Hun frowned.

"I will see what I can do."

At this thought, he finally decided to contact Kao Zha Ji.

"Hey Kao Zha Ji, I-"

"NOT NOW!" Kao Zha Ji suddenly roared.

At the next moment, his pupils shrank.

Da Chou Ji Dan's body flickered; his speed utterly overwhelming.

[Volcanic Dashing Burst!]

Profound lava emerged from behind the egg man, whereas his body was covered in a bronze light.

His body surged at a divine speed; Kao Zha Ji gritted his teeth.

[Atmospheric Pressure!] He unleashed a Rank 8 Immortal Gu, yet.

At the next moment.

[Infinite Tectonic Pressure!]

The body of Chou Jidan, who had turned lighter than a feather instants ago, had become as massive as a tall mountain.

He was rapidly overwhelmed, yet.

At the next moment, a powerful water stream was shot.

Forcing Da Chou Jidan to retreat several steps.

He snorted coldly.

"Yu Moshi Nu. You old hag. Do you truly think you will be able to stop me?" He shouted, whilst staring at a Mermaid in front of him.

The mermaid had a greyish color in her long hair, whereas her scales were blue.

With several wrinkles across her face, she looked somewhat aged.

Her body also looked slightly inflated, like an inflated balloon; there seemed to be far too much liquid inside.

And so her cheeks and arms and legs looked somewhat inflated.

Yet.

She laughed.

"Old hag? You have a lot of nerve to say that, considering you are already a corpse!"

As she spoke those words.

She clapped her hands together.

[The Ocean's Stream!]

An immense tide was unleashed towards Da Chou Jidan.
