The woman strode in like she owned the territory, her voice sharp enough to slice through the room's fragile pack balance. There was no greeting, no acknowledgment—only dominance, as if the outcome had already been decided by her status alone.
"Why should my son withdraw?" I stood up at once, my tone cold. "Your child is the one who started bullying others."
The air around her shifted instantly.
She had already been briefed about me before entering. I could feel it in the way she looked at me—dismissive, like I was a low-ranking pack member with no authority to challenge her claim. No lineage. No visible power structure backing me. In her eyes, I was insignificant.
