"Will Elliot be attending any pack events these days where I might run into him?"
The moment Hayley asked that question, Daniel immediately thought about the Lancaster charity gala happening tomorrow night. Elliot would definitely be there, but he also knew Anastasia would most likely arrive beside him as his mate. After a brief hesitation, he chose to lie.
"Not that I know of," Daniel answered calmly. "Alpha Elliot has been busy handling pack affairs at the company these days."
Hayley lowered her gaze, hiding the bitterness burning in her eyes. The healing treatment around her eyes had not completely settled yet, and her wolf was still weak from the surgery. She hated waiting, but she could endure a few more days before standing in front of Elliot again.
