He pulled me back against him, his arms locking around me like I wasn't allowed to move. His breath brushed my ear. "You're really about to fall asleep like that?"
I felt irritation rise instantly. I turned to glare at him. "My arms are sore. If you've got energy left, go deal with it yourself in the bathroom." I frowned. "You think anyone can keep up with you every day? I'm pregnant, Ashton."
His gaze darkened, something playful flickering beneath it. A slow grin spread across his face. "You should be honored. Not everyone gets to witness this kind of stamina."
I almost rolled my eyes.
I shut my eyes instead, refusing to react. Sleep. That was all I wanted.
His voice softened, closer now. "Don't sleep yet. You don't like the damp, right? Help me dry off first. Then we can rest."
I frowned, already drifting. "Do it yourself."
