I stared at him. "Does Cameron know about any of this?"
"No one knew the truth except Rebecca. And I doubt Joe even knows he is the father. Since Rebecca told everyone it was Ashton's baby, Cameron would have taken her word without question and never thought once to look any further." John shook his head slowly.
The thought hit me like something cold and heavy all at once. Is that why Cameron worked so hard to get rid of my baby? To clear the way for Rebecca's to take its place at the very top of everything?
"What about Ashton? Does he know the truth?" He had told me himself that nothing had ever happened between them physically, not once.
John let out a short, humorless sound. "He would have to be the most oblivious Alpha alive not to already know the truth himself."
That kept me quiet for a long moment.
