Part II
"Remember, remember the 5th of November…"
As I whispered this, the boy turned to look at me. He was standing at the very center of the Iron City, in the very heart of this place—the Iron Palace.
The lifeless metal structures held far more sincerity than anyone could see. That made them even more beautiful.
And the boy saw it. He knew it.
"What does that mean?" he asked me.
"It is nothing," I replied. "It's just an idea."
The heavens erupted with a thunderous sound. Standing deep within the Iron Palace, we looked up.
The beautiful blue sky, unshaken by anything earthly, was now covered in a dull white haze.
"Do you know what that is?" I asked.
"...Ascension?" the boy replied uncertainly.
I nodded. Only those favored by the heavens themselves could influence the sky here. It seemed someone from the Path of Dreams had reached the Next Step.
The boy stared at the transforming sky with wide eyes. He was awed by the phenomenon.
