"How dare you touch my daughter?" Dakota's voice was shaking—not from fear but from rage. The attendant's face had gone pale. "I—I—"
Another slap, harder. "How dare you?" The woman cried out painfully.
Takoda had never seen Dakota truly angry, and the sight was terrifying. Dakota's eyes blazed; every protective instinct she possessed had erupted at once. "You hit her." The attendant struggled, and Dakota shoved her back against the wall. "You raised your hand against a child. How dare you?"
The woman was openly crying now. Guards were already moving, store employees looked horrified, customers had stopped breathing, and Dakota looked ready to tear the entire boutique apart.
"Mother..." The small voice cut through the chaos calling upon her mother's sanity. She was the current Nightshade Luna, she can't allow her to have a bad reputation even before she has been introduced right?
Dakota froze for a minute hearing that soft aggrieved voice.
