The elders looked at me with scrutiny as if they hadn't expected me to show such confidence in their presence.
I still couldn't understand what they were after by summoning me to the hall.
However, the last thing they could expect from me was showing weakness or being bullied by them.
I was well aware that they are strong and could easily finish me off

So, I sat straighter and waited for them to reveal their real purpose.
"You speak well," Elder Rowan finally admitted. "But words are not enough."
