Chapter 498 - Job Transfer Results

On the other side, Esdeath, under Luna's guidance, placed her hand onto the job transfer apparatus.

The crystal ball embedded in the device immediately lit up. A soft glow spread outward, and a beam of light shot down through the funnel-shaped structure below. Esdeath's information was quickly processed, and data began to appear on the adventurer card placed directly beneath the mechanism.

Noa watched this scene closely, his eyes fixed on the flow of energy and information. However, after a few moments, he quietly looked away with a trace of disappointment.

The device had activated properly, and the connection had indeed been established, but there was still no visible trace of any deeper "system" behind it. It was exactly as he had suspected earlier—the so-called job transfer system was not something exposed at the surface level.

If anything, it made sense.

If it were truly that easy to expose the core mechanism just by touching a transfer tool, then the gods of this world would be far more careless than he had assumed. That would have been an unrealistic weakness.

Thinking of this, Noa felt a slight sense of relief instead. It confirmed that the structure of this world's divine system still had layers of protection and separation.

At that moment, Luna suddenly let out a surprised exclamation.

"Lady Esdeath! All attributes are so high! All professions are available for transfer—this is really incredible!"

She leaned in closer to Esdeath's adventurer card, clearly stunned.

Esdeath's basic stats were far beyond what she normally encountered. Every attribute was at a level comparable to high-ranking professionals, and even her luck value was significantly higher than that of ordinary individuals. For Luna, who had assisted countless adventurers over the years, this was the first time she had ever seen such an overwhelmingly strong initial status panel.

It was almost unreal.

However, what surprised her even more was the reaction of the others.

Noa, Hephaestus, and the rest did not seem particularly shocked. Instead, they were calm, as if this kind of status was completely normal.

Luna blinked in confusion.

"Um… you may not understand what this means, but this level of talent is truly extraordinary…" she began, thinking they were simply unaware of how rare Esdeath's stats were.

Before she could continue, Noa gently interrupted her.

"Sorry, Ms. Luna. I forgot to mention earlier—she's already quite strong. So this result is normal for her. There's no need to be surprised."

"Ah… is that so?" Luna froze for a moment, then quickly lowered her head slightly in embarrassment. "I-I see… sorry, I lost my composure."

She hadn't expected them to be that far ahead already. Realizing her misunderstanding, she quickly adjusted her attitude and refocused on the job transfer process.

"Then… do you have a preferred class?" Luna asked, regaining her professional tone. "For example, close combat styles, swordsmanship, archery, or magic-based professions?"

She began briefly explaining the advantages and characteristics of each category, making sure Esdeath understood her options clearly.

After a moment of thought, Esdeath chose a high-tier magic profession.

"I choose Element Master."

Her decision was calm and direct.

The Element Master was a top-level magic class specializing in elemental control. More importantly, it provided a significant boost to mental strength and magical output—something Esdeath valued highly. For her, power and control were always the priority, and this profession aligned perfectly with that goal.

Next came Saeko.

Her status panel was also exceptionally strong, though Luna had already prepared herself mentally this time and was no longer as shocked as before. After a brief evaluation, Luna assisted her in selecting an appropriate class.

Saeko chose without hesitation.

"Sword Master."

It was the highest-tier swordsmanship profession available—focused entirely on refining blade techniques to their peak. For someone like her, it was a natural fit.

Finally, it was Kanae's turn.

Her panel was even more impressive than Esdeath's, which still caused Luna to feel a slight shock despite her preparation. She took a moment to steady herself before guiding Kanae through her options.

Kanae originally considered choosing a Sword Master as well. However, after a brief period of hesitation and reflection, she changed her mind.

In the end, she selected a different path.

"I'll choose the High Priest."

Unlike the others, Kanae did not lack combat ability. She had already met her personal goal of defeating the Demon King in her original world, and she was no longer planning to remain on the frontlines indefinitely. Instead, she intended to transition into a more supportive role going forward.

The High Priest class offered a wide range of auxiliary abilities—buffs, healing, purification, exorcism, resurrection, and more. It could significantly enhance both herself and her allies, and even allow her to indirectly strengthen combat performance through support effects.

Most importantly, it also allowed self-enhancement through buffs, making it a highly efficient and versatile choice.

For Kanae, it was the most practical and well-balanced decision for her future path.
