THIRD PERSON'S POINT OF VIEW
Continuation of flashback from ten years ago.
Three days had passed since Aello and Ishtar dragged the bloodied, unconscious man into their village. The Amazon chief-known for her gentle rule-had given leave to tend his wounds, putting his care entirely in the sisters' hands.
Ishtar spent every hour cleaning his cuts and changing dressings, Aello always at her side. Aello watched as her sister pressed fresh healing herbs to the man's arm, her fingers steady, her gaze fixed in a way that puzzled Aello deeply. It was clear Ishtar was determined to save him, though Aello doubted he'd last another day-he'd lost so much blood, his injuries running deep enough that three days of life felt like a miracle.
Aello slumped in the corner of their wooden hut, where the man lay on a bed of moss and grass.
"Ishtar... why waste your time on him? Grandmother will send him away the moment he wakes-"
