Chapter 482 - Chapter 63: The Notebook that Predicts the Future

To be honest, it was truly difficult to find a place nearby that fate would approve of and that wouldn't be affected.

Even with Takatsuki's main body's abilities, he had to fly the Diavolo Tree for two hours straight to find such a suitable location.

After planting the Diavolo Tree, Takatsuki received a mission complete notification.

"Finally done."

Looking at the large amount of crystals displayed in the system, Takatsuki felt a little antsy, but he had to hold back.

Because without a backpack or the Gate of Babylon, he couldn't take anything out, even if he drew it.

This also meant that the Clow Cards Takatsuki drew could not be taken away.

If it weren't for the sake of completing the mission better, he wouldn't spend nearly two thousand crystals on gacha draws.

Fugo's body had bad luck and could only hit pity, and even after strengthening, he couldn't take it out.

So if he were to draw cards now, it would all be for nothing.

Just before Takatsuki No. 2 disappeared, he transported Takatsuki all the way to an airport in the mirrored world.

"My time is almost up. You'll have to do your best from now on."

Although it was only a short three hours, Takatsuki No. 2 completed the most difficult part of the mission in one go.

Completing the main quest now was quite simple.

Watching Takatsuki No. 2 disappear as his time limit was reached, he no longer lingered and rushed towards Sardinia.

The person summoned was himself, so there was no need for politeness, nor for the greetings and suspicions that would be necessary with others.

Takatsuki only needed to complete the mission in the fastest and best way; that was the choice he owed himself the most.

Meanwhile, rewinding time back a few hours earlier…

Bucciarati, with his heavily injured body, and Trish, escaped Diavolo's pursuit.

"Good thing Fugo was right."

Bucciarati felt a surge of relief; thankfully, he had known the Boss's ability beforehand, otherwise, he couldn't imagine how he would have fought the Boss in the recent battle.

But even knowing the Boss's ability, he couldn't contend with him.

Fortunately, his goal wasn't to defeat the Boss here; as long as he could escape with Trish, it would be his victory.

Even so, he was still gravely injured by the Boss, and he even felt as if he had been killed once.

But the heart still vigorously beating in his chest told him he was still alive.

"Bucciarati!"

Giorno, who had discovered all of this due to Takatsuki's abnormality and a series of strange occurrences, rushed into the church and found a heavily injured Bucciarati.

"Bucciarati! I'll heal you right away!"

Seeing the heavily injured Bucciarati, Giorno immediately said.

"Healing can wait; we must leave here immediately! Call everyone else over, Giorno!"

The two quickly fled the church. Bucciarati placed the unconscious Trish on the speedboat and announced to everyone his intention to betray the Boss.

But soon he noticed something was off.

"Giorno, where's Fugo?"

Bucciarati knew that Giorno and Takatsuki would definitely be on his side, as that was why they had come.

"Bucciarati, Fugo, he suddenly disappeared earlier. Before he left, he told you not to wait for him."

Giorno didn't know Diavolo's ability, but he had some guesses.

"I see. Then I'll make it simple: I've decided to betray the Boss! I won't order you to follow, but if you want to come, then get on the boat."

Bucciarati announced to everyone and recounted what he had encountered inside the church.

"This isn't my betrayal of the Boss; it's his betrayal of me!"

"The Boss's purpose in having us protect Trish was to personally execute her, because her blood relation to him would expose his true identity. Therefore… I cannot condone such an act, nor can I turn a blind eye and simply leave."

This was undoubtedly a very insane thing to do, because in the Passione organization, the consequences of betraying the Boss were extremely severe.

Death was merely a release.

However, Bucciarati Squad was not formed because of the organization, nor was it simply for money and power. They were gathered more because of Bucciarati's personal charisma.

So in the end, everyone chose to betray the Boss with Bucciarati.

"Oh, by the way, Bucciarati, Fugo said he left us something in the turtle."

Sitting on the speedboat, Giorno remembered what Takatsuki had said earlier.

"Something left behind? Narancia, watch your surroundings, I'll go inside and check."

Bucciarati recalled Takatsuki's previous self-introduction and entered the turtle.

Bucciarati first saw a pile of miscellaneous items Takatsuki had left behind in the corner, but he noticed that quite a few things were missing, apparently taken away.

And on the coffee table, there was a new notebook.

Bucciarati walked over and cautiously had Sticky Fingers open the notebook.

"This is…"

Upon seeing the contents of the notebook, he widened his eyes.

The notebook contained nothing else but prophecies of what they would encounter next.

Or rather, it was what Takatsuki knew about the enemies Bucciarati and his team originally faced.

"Such a Stand ability, truly terrifying."

The notebook's entries only went as far as getting on the plane to Sardinia and then stopped.

This was because Takatsuki felt he would be able to rendezvous with them before then, and since there was no more Arrow in this world, Polnareff's situation wouldn't occur either.

"I need to let everyone else know."

The former Bucciarati had hidden all of this, the reason being that he didn't want to involve others in betrayal and be hunted by the organization because of his own affairs.

Now that everyone had decided to betray, he no longer concealed it, and left the turtle with the notebook.

After the others saw the notebook Bucciarati brought out, Mista said somewhat disbelievingly, "Bucciarati, do you really believe everything Fugo said is true? Predicting the future and all that?"

"Mista, you personally experienced what happened before, didn't you?"

Originally, Bucciarati had explained to the others that Takatsuki had a powerful intelligence network, but now he finally laid all his cards on the table, no longer hiding anything.

"Takatsuki's purpose in coming back from the future is to defeat the Boss, so in this regard, he won't lie to us."

Bucciarati didn't know that Takatsuki had stayed on that island and dealt with Diavolo in one go.

He still planned to follow the original trajectory, to find the Boss's whereabouts, to end all of this.
