Chapter 221 - The White Room Assassin

Soon after, shocking news spread throughout the school.

The entire second-year student body from Classes A, B, C, and D—excluding the nine individuals protected by Ryunosuke—were all sentenced to expulsion. Even their homeroom teachers did not escape sanctions.

Meanwhile, the newly appointed Tsukishiro was also severely disciplined. It couldn't be helped; this incident was simply too outrageous. The entire second-year flock had ganged up on four people—though in reality, it was those four who had decimated them...

But who would believe that story if it were told? Would anyone?

Furthermore, this school is filled with the children of important and influential figures. The school administration had to provide a clear accounting to them. Consequently, the high-ranking officials decided to restore Narumori's status and conduct a leadership handover with Tsukishiro within the next three days.

As for Tsukishiro himself, he was officially fired.

Currently, Tsukishiro remains unconscious in a hospital bed. The strike from Ryunosuke's spiked iron rod was a bit excessive; he hasn't woken up since. It was fortunate that Ayanokouji was the one to execute the final blow, as he at least knew the limits to ensure a life wasn't taken.

Due to his severe injuries, Tsukishiro was not immediately forcibly removed. On humanitarian grounds, the authorities allowed him to be treated at the Advanced Nurturing High School hospital until he recovers before being fully ousted.

Meanwhile, Nagumo sat listlessly in his seat in Class 2-A. His face was now overgrown with stubble from excessive worrying; the ambitious aura he once possessed had vanished. The classmates who were supposed to be his subordinates now looked at him with eyes full of hatred and resentment.

Nagumo was well aware that once he left this school, he would be a nobody, and they would surely seek their revenge.

"Hehe..." Nagumo laughed bitterly.

Only now did he remember the words Nazuna once said to him; they were so vivid and ironic. She had warned him. If only...

But it was all too late. Once he stepped outside the school gates, he would lose all control over these students. And these students, expelled because of his actions, would surely hunt him down for vengeance. Nagumo was utterly desperate. He burst into a fit of maniacal laughter.

Death might be waiting for him. For the children of these prestigious families, killing an "ant" outside of school was incredibly easy. And Nagumo, stripped of the school's protection, was nothing more than an ant.

Nazuna knew exactly what her childhood friend was going through. She grabbed her school bag, intending to find Ryunosuke to talk. She didn't know why... but she felt the other party must have a way. She had no choice but to plead with her junior.

In the Outside World

Atsuomi had just failed in his bid for a seat in parliament representing the Kyoei Party. The reason was Tsukishiro—the man he had planted in the school—who had become embroiled in a massive scandal, been fired, and was now facing sanctions. This had a direct impact on him.

Because Tsukishiro was his subordinate, party leaders deemed Atsuomi unfit for parliament. Coupled with the "seasoning" added by his political rivals, failure in the election was a natural outcome.

Through insider information, he managed to find out that the mastermind behind all this chaos was a boy named Akasaka Ryunosuke.

How did he know? The entire beaten second-year class served as witnesses. As long as there was an intent to investigate, the truth about the incident was easily unearthed.

Atsuomi tapped his finger on the desk, contemplating a countermeasure. He then picked up the landline on his desk and contacted Tsukishiro, who was still at the school.

At the school, Tsukishiro lay in a hospital bed with his entire body wrapped in bandages. He had just regained consciousness. His body had suffered fractures in many places; one could not hope for a recovery within months...

Tsukishiro's phone rang; it was a call from Atsuomi. However, in his current condition, he couldn't pick it up because his hands were also bandaged and immobile. He looked at the nurse beside him.

"Can you please get my phone, Nurse? I have to take this call." The nurse approached, picked up the phone for him, and held it to Tsukishiro's ear.

After thanking her, Tsukishiro answered. Atsuomi's voice echoed from the other side.

"I know everything. How is your situation there? Can you still intervene in school affairs?"

Tsukishiro glanced at his body, wrapped like a mummy. His lip twitched as he forced out two words.

"I can't..."

Atsuomi massaged the bridge of his nose. He had wanted to utilize the remnants of Tsukishiro's power before it vanished to force Ryunosuke out of the school. After all, that boy had cost him his chance at parliament; it was impossible for him not to hold a grudge.

Unfortunately, Ryunosuke was still inside the school. Just like Nagumo, as long as the target did not leave the premises, Atsuomi could do nothing. The school was covered in CCTV cameras, and as a vital national talent cultivation site, not a single mistake was permitted.

Moreover, the school housed children from genius families in various fields, children from Fortune 500 companies, high-ranking officials, and even the children of the four great zaibatsu (conglomerates). Even if he were the Prime Minister of Japan, trying to interfere with this school was like holding a hot potato; one wrong move could prove fatal.

Furthermore, the current Prime Minister of Japan, Kiryuin Kijima, held his position thanks to the support of three of the four major conglomerates, one of which was the Koenji Conglomerate. And inside that school happened to be a representative of the Shiina Family, one of those four great conglomerates. Even if it was only a branch family representative, their identity was not something he could offend lightly.

Not to mention many other children from powerful families just below the level of the four greats. Thus, if he wanted to touch this school, he had to be extremely cautious. What the reckless Nagumo did was no different from seeking death.

Atsuomi quickly made a decision regarding Ryunosuke. Even his own son, Kiyotaka, was pushed aside to be dealt with later. Right now, he wanted Ryunosuke expelled even more than his son, so he could finish him off in the outside world!

Because of this brat, he had lost his parliamentary status. If he didn't deal with this bastard, it would remain a thorn in his side that tortured him.

Atsuomi took a deep breath and commanded Tsukishiro.

"You haven't been officially stripped of your position as Chairman yet, right?" Atsuomi straightened his tie, trying to remain calm.

Tsukishiro hesitated for a moment before telling the truth, "In three days, I will be officially fired. For now, I still hold power for three days."

"Good!" Atsuomi felt that was enough time. He immediately gave instructions to Tsukishiro.

"Hurry and help me plant the 'assassins' from the White Room into the school. Let them enter Advanced Nurturing High School next year."

"Is it for the sake of Young Master Ayanokouji?" Tsukishiro asked.

"No!" Atsuomi shouted, clearly on the verge of rage. He gave his final answer.

"Their target is not Ayanokouji Kiyotaka, but Akasaka Ryunosuke!"

"I want him out of that school!!!" Atsuomi slammed his desk violently.
