Chapter 406 - Back to School

High School for Advanced Nurturing.

The Round Table Meeting Room.

This was the gathering place for Ryunosuke's 14 wives.

In Ai's absence, the management responsibilities fell to Airi, who held the second rank. However, some were looking to seize the opportunity of Ai's departure from school grounds to kick her out of the circle permanently. Kushida, for instance, had gathered everyone for this meeting with the sole intent of ousting Ai.

If Ai were removed, their individual time with Ryunosuke would increase. Many in the room secretly agreed with that logic.

Kushida spoke with a sweet, calculated smile, "Does anyone else share my thoughts? If so, please raise your hand."

Kushida raised her small hand. Surprisingly, most of those present followed suit, including Airi and Haruka.

Hiyori remained seated, silently reading her book, having no intention of participating in such a ridiculous scheme. After all, her time with Ryunosuke was already the longest; she had nothing to complain about.

Arisu, sitting in the fifth chair, tapped her cane against the floor to draw everyone's attention, offering a dissenting opinion.

"What are you all thinking? When Ryunosuke-kun returns later, do you really think he would agree to this?"

The room fell into an instant, heavy silence.

Arisu sighed. Idiots. They wanted to kick someone out but hadn't bothered to consider if Ryunosuke would ever allow it.

Suzune, in the eighth chair, grabbed her school bag and prepared to leave.

"A pack of fools!"

She didn't miss the chance to insult them before exiting. Suzune felt like she was losing her mind just for entertaining their madness. Although she despised Ai—actually, she despised everyone in this room—she knew this was an unavoidable reality.

What woman wouldn't want to monopolize her man? Suzune was no exception, but she was at least realistic.

Seeing Suzune leave, Kushida didn't give up and tried another angle. Currently, the key was Arisu, who held full authority because she controlled the massive amount of Private Points belonging to Ryunosuke—points intended to bring him and Ai back to school.

As long as Arisu disagreed, Ai could not return. However, Kushida wasn't sure she could sway Arisu, as Arisu's faction was currently the most powerful.

Much like a certain captain from the Soul Society, Arisu had two "captain-level" subordinates by her side: Masumi in the seventh chair and Miki in the ninth. Their faction was the strongest because the three were tightly bound. The rest were either duos or individuals with small, fractured groups.

The only ones truly moving solo were the pitiful Kushida and her arch-nemesis, Suzune.

Suzune was too prideful to work with anyone, and Kushida wouldn't dream of working with her; they were like fire and water, refusing to yield.

As her plan began to crumble, Kushida looked for more allies.

Hiyori, who had been reading quietly, closed her book and interjected.

"Stop causing trouble, Kushida-san. You'll only be a burden to Ryunosuke-kun."

"I'm the last person who wants to be criticized by you, the one who gets to monopolize Ryunosuke every day..." Kushida muttered under her breath. But with no support, she was forced to abandon her devious intentions.

Arisu added with a resigned tone, "What is actually going through your heads? If Ryunosuke-kun returns, there's no way he'd let Morishita-san go. You could figure this out if you used your brains even slightly. It truly boggles the mind..."

Arisu leaned on her cane and led Masumi and Miki out first. One by one, the others began to disperse.

The Return

Shortly after, Arisu spent 40 million Private Points to bring Ryunosuke and Ai back to the school. Even after the expenditure, Ryunosuke's remaining points hovered around 200 million.

Ryunosuke felt the sting of losing those points, but it was unavoidable. Moreover, for the sake of Arisu's heart condition, he might have to leave the school grounds again in the future, a choice he didn't regret.

The first thing Ryunosuke did upon his return was observe the situation in the other classes.

To his shock, Class D—the class managed by Yukino—had somehow managed to secure first place in the recent mid-term exams. It was completely illogical.

As he recalled, they were a bunch of delinquents, weren't they? How did they suddenly transform into honor students with extraordinary grades?

In the current Class D, Ryuen was questioning reality. He leaned on his desk, wondering how it had come to this. He had intended to use Ryunosuke's absence to overtake Class C, but...

Ryuen turned his head to look at Ibuki, who had been acting dazed ever since Ryunosuke left. He clicked his tongue mentally.

Ibuki couldn't hide her feelings at all; anyone could see she was head over heels. What was he supposed to do? One of his top generals was leaning toward the enemy, and then there was...

Ryuen looked toward Yukino and felt a headache coming on. This girl had absolutely no talent for traditional leadership; her methods were far too willful. She reminded him of Suzune—they were so similar that a stranger might mistake them for twins.

If it weren't for Hiyori's help in managing the class, everything would have likely collapsed into chaos.

Yukino knitted her beautiful brows, staring at the grade reports with a dissatisfied expression. She swept her gaze across the room.

The entire Class D felt their necks shrink.

During this period, they had truly suffered. They were supposed to be delinquents; why were they being forced to be top students? The students of Class D harbored a deep resentment toward Yukino.

Yukino didn't care; she only wanted the class grades to improve to overtake those ahead. She shook the exam sheet in her hand seriously.

"For the final exams next week, please continue to work hard."

"To ensure our class reaches Class A, I will train you without mercy."

"Haaah~" A long, collective groan filled the room. They desperately wanted to replace their leader.

Yukino ignored the complaints. She instructed the three best students—Hiyori, Fumino, and Rizu—to gather the classmates after school for extra tutoring in the Service Club.

Fumino sighed and indicated her understanding. Yukino was too serious and unpopular; if not for the three of them mediating, Yukino's position as leader might have already been toppled.

Rizu organized her books without much objection; she personally wanted to study to get into her dream literature university.

Hiyori also packed her books, intending to find Ryunosuke first. They hadn't seen each other in nearly a month. She needed to "recharge her longing" from him first; otherwise, she wouldn't have the energy to teach the extra lessons later.
