Chapter 2 - Fighting To Leave

Lora sat there in stunned silence, and Grayson was standing there, a smile on his face, his eyes burning with obsession. Lora was confused, then she was angry. She shoved him back as hard as she could, surprising him since she had never done anything like this before. She stood up, pissed.

"The hell, Grayson?!" Lora screamed at him, no longer teary-eyed from being overwhelmed. Teary-eyed with anger. "My life was just ripped out from under me, and you actually think it's a fucking good thing?!"

"You misunderstand this," Grayson said as he slowly stood up. "I have been waiting for news. We aren't family. I can be with you now."

"What?!" Lora screamed at him. Greyson stood up, but his eyes were darkening with obsession. Then he pinned her against the willow tree.

"You are mine now. I never wanted you to be just my sister." Grayson's smile was making his expression much darker. "We were seen as family because we thought we were blood related, now, we aren't blood related. I don't have to hold back anymore."

"What—Grayson, what the hell?!" Lora screamed at him and tried to kick him off her, but Grayson pressed his leg between hers. He was very obsessive with Lora, but never this physical. It was intimidating for Lora to witness, even after finding out that she wasn't blood-related to Grayson. She looked at him with wide eyes. "What are you doing?!"

"You have no idea how much I have been holding back," Grayson said, never once looking away nor letting go of Lora. The entire situation frightened her, and in a panic, she head-butted him as hard as she could with the limited space to rear her head back. Grayson stumbled backwards, Lora took her chance and ran off, her forehead in pain and possibly bleeding. Lora kept running, going inside, and managed to avoid everyone until she found her belongings in her childhood room and checked herself in the mirror; her forehead was bleeding. She grabbed a few tissues and wiped her forehead, then patched herself up with a first-aid kit in her room. She threw out the blood-soaked tissues and grabbed her bag, almost running out of the family home, not looking for any servants to help or her parents. Well, it would be more like her switched parents. Since she isn't blood-related, she doesn't have any point in staying. She knew her switched parents had no interest in anyone who wasn't blood family or anyone who wouldn't carry the next generation of the family name or carry the grandchildren; they had no issue with sending them off. They'd done this with thousands of servants in the past, so why would she be any different?

She caught a taxi and left. She had a friend she could stay with, with whom she kept in contact. Lora paid for the trip the moment she got into the car. She had messages coming in on her phone. She checked, and there were thousands of messages, all from Grayson. All going on about where she is, when she is coming home, and asking why she hasn't answered him the entire time. Lora blocked him at that moment. Grayson is most likely going to come looking for her after a while. The taxi made it to her friend's place, and she got out quickly with her suitcase and went inside. She knocked on the front door. A few minutes later, the door opened, and there was her friend, Aika, who had long dark hair, tan skin, and bright emerald eyes.

"Lora?" she asked, surprised to see her.

"I need a place to stay for a while, Aika," Lora said, heading in the moment Aika invited her in.

"What's going on? You never show up without any call ahead of time." Aika said as she closed the door.

"My family isn't actually my family," Lora told her. With that, Lora began to explain everything, from start to finish. From getting the call to Grayson acting like a complete psychopath. Aika was just sitting with her on the sofa, completely stunned. She wasn't expecting to hear that Lora was swapped with someone at birth, then her brother was a perverted psychopath who was completely obsessed.

"Wait, so your parents aren't your birth parents, and your brother isn't your brother, right?" Aika asked.

"Yep," Lora rubbed her forehead.

"And now this Katherine person or whatever is living in your place with your parents, right?"

"Yep,"

"And now Grason is completely obsessed, and the last time you saw him, you were pinned to a tree, his leg between yours, and you headbutted him to get away. Did I forget anything?"

"Nope, spot on." Lora sighed, rubbing her forehead. She was done with today after what she went through. Aika was just as troubled by what she had just heard. Lora's family was a mess with her finding out that she wasn't theirs by blood. Then finding out the truth about how Grayson feels about her, and how broken his mind was, to the point of being happy finding out being blood related was no longer an issue for romance in his mind. He was very sick in the head, and many more problems in his mind, probably more just to be found out some day in the future. Lora had a feeling she would, and she was a mess of feelings all over.

"Fuck," Aika said, rubbing her temple with two fingers. She was just as upset as Lora about this entire situation. Not exactly unexpected, considering this was a friend of hers stuck in a situation that was the definition of a nightmare. "So, what now?"

"Now?" Lora asked, her head a mess of questions, about what was going on in her life now. "Now, I have to figure out what was going on. Who is my birth family, and what the hell to do when I get far away from my folks?"

She had a lot of work to do now.
