Gion said helplessly, "Fine, fine. But I'm telling you, Nami is easy to handle, but for Perona, I'll have to ask Vice Admiral Tsuru how to deal with her. Just leave this matter to me and go tend to whatever business you have."
After receiving permission, Hera immediately slipped away.
Gion looked at Kuina beside her and patted her head. "It's still better to have little Kuina around. That heartless Hera just ran off as soon as she said her piece. Honestly... Little Kuina, tell me about your adventures."
Kuina gave an awkward smile. Actually, she had wanted to leave just now too, but she hadn't been fast enough and Hera beat her to it. She then began to tell Gion about their journey, from Arlong Park in the East Blue to Sky Island and then to Thriller Bark.
When Gion heard that Hera could actually take away the Devil Fruit abilities of the deceased, her expression immediately became serious. Only after seeing that they were alone did she relax, saying solemnly to Kuina, "Don't tell anyone about this. If someone asks, just say it was luck."
Kuina nodded. "Don't worry, I won't say a word."
Only then did Gion breathe a sigh of relief. The fact that Hera could even do something like this was beyond Gion's expectations. "Truly a child who brings nothing but surprises."
With nothing to do, Hera headed to a casino. She remembered that a man truly suited for the Marine was currently gambling around the Sabaody Archipelago. She wondered if she would be lucky enough to encounter this man ahead of time.
Soon, Hera found a middle-aged man leaning on a cane. He was blind yet still there throwing Dice with others.
Hera stood by and watched. Seeing that the blind man was competing with others, two other gamblers kept tricking him, saying his Dice roll was the smallest. After watching a few rounds, Hera couldn't stand it anymore.
"You two, taking advantage of this uncle's blindness to trick him—do you have any shame as human beings?" The two gamblers were displeased. "Shoo, shoo! Where did this kid come from? Leave quickly. What do you know? If you keep talking nonsense, we'll catch you and sell you to Slave Street."
Hera drew saikū. "You can only leave after you return the money. Otherwise, don't blame me for getting violent."
It was only then that the two gamblers noticed the Marine rank Hera was wearing. Realizing they had kicked a steel plate, the two of them hurriedly dropped the money and fled.
Hera turned to the blind gambler and said, "I didn't expect a blind person like you to come gambling. Aren't you afraid of being cheated?"
Issho didn't answer Hera's question but instead asked, "Young lady, is there something you need from me?"
Hera said, "Has no one ever told you not to answer a question with a question? Besides, how are you so sure I'm looking for you?"
Issho said calmly, "You wandered around here for several laps and walked straight over without hesitation after seeing me. I think you must be looking for me. Although my eyes cannot see, my heart can."
Hera looked at Issho's sword. "I'm just curious what kind of person the owner of Gambler's Fireline, one of the Twelve Supreme Grade Swords, really is. And what exactly is the justice you believe in?"
Issho's expression changed. "How do you know so much?"
Hera continued, "I know many things, including the fact that you blinded yourself because you didn't want to see this sinful world, right?"
Issho's hand gripped his cane-sword. After thinking for a moment, he let go. "Why have you come to find me? Is there something you need?"
Hera nodded. "I want to abolish the slave district here, and I need your help."
Issho was somewhat surprised. "Abolish the slave district? Do you know who the real big buyers here are?"
Hera said, "Of course I know. Why else would I look for you? If you're interested, come with me. I'll take you to meet someone else." After saying this, Hera walked away.
Issho thought about it. His Observation Haki could pull down meteors from the sky, so he could naturally see the evils on this island. Now that there was a chance to root out the archipelago's evils, he naturally had to follow and see what the plan was, so he followed.
Hera sighed in relief when she saw Issho following. After all, her previous plan was still somewhat incomplete. Now with Issho's joining, this assassination could be said to be half-successful already. Next, it would depend on whether the other target agreed.
Hera led Issho into Shakky's Rip-off Bar and looked around. The Celestial Dragons were coming soon; Rayleigh wouldn't have sold himself off already, would he?
"A cute Marine lady and a blind man, what a rare combination. Is there something you need here?" A lazy voice drifted out as a tall, slender beauty, the bar's proprietress Shakky, stepped out while smoking.
