Episode 16
At 8:00 in the morning, Ariya was getting ready for the office. Luni was folding clothes.
Luni looked at Ariya and said, "Ariya?"
He turned toward her.
She asked, "Why did you call me your wife in front of your parents when we weren't even married?"
Ariya gently held her hand and said —
"Listen, Luni... we were just living together as friends. But somewhere along the way, I fell in love with you. I never told you — because I was waiting for the right time.
Now that you're with me, even if you don't feel the same way... you're still everything to me. Family, friend, love... we'll think about marriage later — when you're ready. That's okay."
He smiled and said, "Alright, I'm off now. We'll talk later. Bye!"
Luni smiled as he left and went back to her work.
Ariya walked down the road, thinking about Luni — a soft smile on his face.
Suddenly — a speeding car hit him and fled.
Ariya collapsed on the road, covered in blood.
At that moment, the same girl who had given them a lift that night — saw him from a distance. She ran toward him without a second thought.
She immediately called an ambulance.
Ariya was admitted to the hospital. The girl quietly paid for the ambulance and slipped away.
Luni's phone rang. Unknown number.
She picked up.
A woman's voice: "Hello, am I speaking to Ariya's wife?"
Luni: "Yes... who is this?"
Voice: "I'm calling from R.P.S. Hospital. Your husband has been admitted. He met with an accident."
Luni hung up immediately. Without thinking, she rushed out, sat in a car, and headed straight to the hospital.
At the hospital, she ran to the reception.
Luni: "I'm Luni. You called me... about my husband?"
Receptionist: "Yes. He's in room 908."
She ran to room 908.
There she saw Ariya — his hands and feet wrapped in bandages.
She hugged him, crying.
Then she pulled back, gently slapped him, and said through tears —
"It's your fault! You weren't looking where you were going!"
Ariya smiled weakly and said, "Yes, madam. I'll be careful from now on."
Luni laughed through her tears.
