The sun had already set by the time school ended. The sky was painted in deep shades of purple and navy as Silas walked home with Rias, Akeno, Asia, and Koneko.
The two younger girls had excitedly asked to have a sleepover at the new manor, and no one had the heart to refuse them.
Asia was chatting happily with Koneko, while Rias and Akeno walked on either side of Silas, occasionally brushing against him.
Then, without warning.
THUD!
A figure dropped from the sky like a meteor.
Silas moved on instinct. In a blur, he shot forward and caught Xenovia in his arms before she could crash into the pavement. The tall church girl was badly injured ,her black combat uniform torn open across the chest, exposing a generous amount of her pale breasts and toned midriff. Blood trickled from the corner of her mouth, and her breathing was ragged.
Silas got a very clear view before he quickly adjusted his grip to be more respectful.
Above them, black wings spread wide, scattering ominous black feathers that drifted down like dark snow.
Everyone looked up.
Floating in the air with an overwhelming, oppressive aura was a tall, imposing man. His long silver hair flowed behind him, and his six black wings radiated pure power. A sadistic, arrogant smirk played on his lips as he stared down at them.
Kokabiel.
"It is an honor to meet the Gremory heiress," he said, his voice booming with arrogance. "I would offer my regards to the great Sirzechs… but there's a good chance you'll all die here today."
His cocky grin widened.
Rias's expression hardened instantly. She stepped forward, crimson hair swaying as demonic power began to flare around her.
"Kokabiel… Leader of the Fallen Angels. What brings you to Kuoh?!"
Asia let out a worried cry and rushed over to Xenovia. Silas gently handed the injured girl to her. Asia immediately began using her healing abilities, soft green light enveloping Xenovia's wounds.
Akeno and Koneko moved to stand beside Rias, forming a defensive line. The four girls stared up at the fallen angel with varying degrees of hostility.
Kokabiel laughed, a deep, mocking sound that echoed through the quiet street.
"I'm here for the Excalibur fragments, of course. And while I'm at it…" His eyes gleamed with malice as they swept over the group. "I thought I'd have a little fun with the Gremory devils."
Silas stood slightly behind the girls, arms crossed, watching the scene unfold with a calm but interested expression.
The air grew heavier. Kokabiel's overwhelming presence pressed down on everyone like an invisible weight. Black feathers continued to fall around them as the fallen angel leader prepared for battle.
Rias clenched her fists, power surging around her.
"You really think you can just come here and do whatever you want?"
Kokabiel's smirk widened into something truly vicious.
"Why not? Who's going to stop me?"
The tension was electric. A fight was inevitable.
Silas cracked his neck once, eyes narrowing slightly.
'Finally… something worth paying attention to.'
"That friend of yours somehow made it to our stronghold," Kokabiel chuckled darkly, his six black wings spreading wider. "So we took very good care of her."
Before anyone could react, a blur shot out from the shadows.
Freed Sellzen appeared in a mad dash, swinging a stolen Excalibur fragment with a deranged grin on his face.
"Die, you filthy devil-lover—!"
But he never finished the sentence.
Silas barely glanced at him.
**POP.**
Freed's body imploded instantly. There was no scream that came from him or sound honestly just a sickening burst of blood, bone, and gore exploding outward in every direction.
The spray of red painted the street… but stopped inches away from Silas, blocked by an invisible wall of power. Not a single drop touched him.
The gruesome remains of the exorcist fell to the ground in a wet heap.
"Oh?" Silas asked sarcastically, tilting his head. "Whatever happened to him?"
Kokabiel's arrogant grin slowly faded into a deep frown. His eyes narrowed as he focused on Silas for the first time.
'So he's the one who beat Raynare…' he thought. 'I heard the Chaos Brigade killed her after her failure. Quite unfortunate… she was useful.'
The fallen angel leader forced his smirk back into place and let out a loud, theatrical laugh.
"Ehh, yes, I was saying… Ahahahahaha!"
Silas and the girls exchanged confused glances. The sudden mood whiplash was almost comical.
Kokabiel spread his arms wide, black feathers falling around him like dark rain.
"I want war!!" he declared with manic glee. "So what better way than to steal the Holy Swords and destroy Kuoh Academy, including Rias Gremory, the beloved sister of Sirzechs himself!"
His eyes gleamed with pure insanity.
"The battlefield will be your precious school. I simply cannot wait~"
In the next instant, with a dramatic flourish and a burst of black light, Kokabiel vanished.
The street fell deathly silent.
Rias, Akeno, Koneko, and Asia stood frozen, processing the declaration of war. Xenovia, still being supported by Asia, gritted her teeth in anger.
Silas stared at the empty sky for a second… then shrugged.
"I need a bath," he said casually and started walking home like nothing had happened. The girls stared after him for a second before quickly following.
Back at the Manor
The moment they stepped inside, the house was already bustling.
Sona and her entire peerage had arrived after hearing the news.
Tsubaki, Saji, and the others looked tense. Rias's peerage, Kiba who had returned, Issei, and the rest were also gathered, filling the large living room with worried chatter.
The moment Silas walked in, all eyes turned to him.
Rias immediately began explaining what had just occurred. The room erupted into a mix of shock, anger, and strategic discussion.
Sona pushed her glasses up, expression serious. "Kokabiel… If he really intends to turn the Academy into a battlefield, we'll need to prepare immediately. We cannot allow this to escalate into a full war."
Akeno smiled dangerously. "He's clearly underestimating us."
Kiba's hand rested on his sword hilt, eyes cold. "If he brings those Holy Swords here… I will destroy them all."
Silas glanced at him' Haven't you said this before ' he thought to himself quietly. He walked past the serious meeting, heading toward the stairs.
"I'm taking a bath. You guys figure it out."
He paused at the bottom of the staircase and glanced back with a lazy smirk.
"Wake me up when you lose...again "
With that, Silas disappeared upstairs, leaving the devils and the lone church girl to plan their defense against one of the most dangerous fallen angels in existence.
Silas deliberately chose the bathroom on the second floor that wasn't attached to the master bedroom.
He stripped off his clothes, stepped into the large marble shower, and turned the water on hot, letting the steam fill the room.
He stood under the spray with his eyes closed, letting the events of the day wash over him.
Meanwhile, in the guest room…
Xenovia slowly sat up on the bed. She looked down at her body all the cuts, bruises, and torn parts of her uniform were completely gone. Asia's healing had worked perfectly.
She clenched her fists for a moment, a complicated mix of emotions swirling inside her.
'That girl… Asia Argento… She healed me even after I called her a traitor.'
A pang of guilt hit her, but she pushed it down. That was something to think about later.
Right now, she needed a shower. Her body still felt sticky with dried sweat and blood, and her mind was restless.
She stood up, still in her damaged church robes, and walked out of the room. She spotted the bathroom door at the end of the hall and, without thinking twice, pushed it open and stepped inside.
The moment she entered.
Steam hit her like a wall.
Through the thick mist, she saw a tall, muscular figure standing under the shower spray.
Silas.
Completely naked.
Water cascaded down his toned back, shoulders, and arms. His body was littered with faint scratch marks — fresh ones, clearly from Rias and Akeno. His cock hung heavy between his legs, even soft it was intimidating.
Xenovia froze in the doorway, eyes wide.
Silas turned his head slowly, water running down his face. He didn't look startled at all. Instead, a lazy smirk tugged at his lips.
"You gonna stand there staring, or…?"
Xenovia's face exploded into a deep shade of red. She tried to speak, but her mouth opened and closed uselessly for a second.
"I—I didn't—! This bathroom—!" she stammered, her usual stoic demeanor shattering completely.
She couldn't stop her eyes from drifting downward for a split second before she forced them back up, mortified.
Silas turned off the water and faced her fully, making no move to cover himself.
"Door wasn't locked," he said casually, grabbing a towel but not wrapping it around himself yet. He simply held it in one hand. "You looking for something, Xenovia?"
The tall church girl stood there, heart hammering in her chest. Her mind was a mess , memories of the sounds she heard last night, the sight of him carrying her earlier, and now… this.
She swallowed hard, fists clenched at her sides.
"I… I just wanted to shower," she muttered, voice quieter than she intended.
Silas's smirk widened just a fraction.
"Well," he said, stepping out of the shower, still completely naked and dripping wet, "there's plenty of room."
He walked past her toward the door, pausing right beside her. His height and presence made her feel smaller than usual.
"Unless you'd rather I leave," he added, voice low.
Xenovia didn't move. Her face burned hotter than ever, but she didn't step away either.
