Chapter 91 - chapter 91

The long, dirt road stretched out before them with no clear end, surrounded by the majesty of the night and intense mystery.

Picos (in a low voice, looking back): "Oh, it's wonderful that we left that cursed town. I almost lost my mind there. Do you think all the inhabitants of this world are this cruel?"

Romilius: "They are not cruel, Picos, but terrified. Fear changes people's nature and makes them attack everything they don't understand. And we, with these abilities of ours, represent the unknown to them."

Nikos (leading the group, his eyes scanning the sides of the road): "Stop chattering now and focus on the road. We don't know what might emerge from between these trees. Darius, stay close to me."

Darius: "I'm with you, Father, but look there! Ortinus, Miron, look straight ahead!"

Right in the middle of the road, just a few steps away from them, a very familiar stone structure suddenly appeared. It needed no searching or investigation; it was the same ancient stone door standing tall amidst the void, its golden inscriptions flickering softly as if welcoming their return.

Miron (in astonishment and joy): "The door! It's the same door that brought us here!"

Nirar (examining the orange jewel on his chest): "The frequencies match perfectly. The portal has opened again to allow us to cross. It seems this world is casting us out, or our temporary mission here has ended."

Ortinus (stepping forward and holding the blue feather): "The third world gave us the power we will need to face what is coming, but our true place is not here. Not even the second world; our land is the first world where Actanus is. Are you ready?"

Picos: "Ready? I've been ready since I saw the claw of that black beast! Please, open it!"

Ortinus placed his hand on the door, and the inscriptions responded immediately. An overwhelming white light erupted, swallowing their bodies one by one as they stepped inward with eager hearts.

In a quick flash, the absolute whiteness disappeared, and humid, familiar breezes took its place. The companions fell onto the green grass, sighing with relief as they looked around in astonishment mixed with comfort.

They had returned to the second world, specifically to the other side of the towering green hill from where their strange journey began. The sky was calm, and nature around them was vibrant with life, but they were no longer the same people who had left it hours ago; the jewels on their chests were still warm, reminding them that they now carried supernatural powers that would change the course of history.

Nikos (standing up and brushing the dust off his clothes): "We're back... The ground is solid under our feet again."

Darius (looking at his hand and summoning a small electric spark that flickered between his fingers): "We're back, Father... but we've returned with new weapons."

Ortinus (looking toward the horizon): "Now we possess great power that we will use to reach Ashiel, open the portal, and return to the first world."
