Vermoud scoffed, his eyes narrowing as he watched the glowing figure on the screen. "Hmph! So what if Son Goku has managed to step into the domain of Ultra Instinct? Jiren will not lose!" Although Vermoud was surprised to see a mortal truly tap into that divine state, he had already steeled his heart.
He simply didn't believe Goku had a chance. Entering the state was one thing, but defeating Jiren was pure wishful thinking. Incomplete Ultra Instinct would never be enough to bridge the gap between a human and a monster like Jiren.
Only the state of Perfect Ultra Instinct could pose a legitimate threat, and Vermoud knew how impossible that was to achieve. Even Beerus, rumored by the narrator to be the strongest God of Destruction, had yet to master the completed form despite being the only deity to have truly entered its domain.
If a god who had lived for millions of years couldn't do it, how could a mortal like Goku? To Vermoud, Goku's current state was a fluke of nature, an unbelievable feat that would still end in failure. The advantage remained firmly with Universe 11.
Deep within the confines of his gravity chamber, Vegeta watched the broadcast with a burning, jealous fire in his eyes. "Damn Kakarot! Why is it always him!" The Saiyan Prince's pride was wounded. He couldn't stand seeing Kakarot show off yet again.
They had been training together under Whis, reaching Super Saiyan Blue at the same time. During the eras of Super Saiyan 1, 2, and 3, he could excuse Kakarot being ahead because they weren't training in the same environment. But now, the playing field was level.
Vegeta wondered if Whis was giving Kakarot secret lessons behind his back, but he dismissed the thought immediately. He would have noticed, and Whis wasn't the type for such favoritism. Was it possible that a low-class warrior actually possessed more talent than the Prince of all Saiyans? "No! I refuse to believe it!" Vegeta growled. He preferred to believe Kakarot had simply stumbled into the form through sheer luck rather than superior skill.
As if answering Vegeta's internal rage, Whis's voice echoed through the video, explaining the phenomenon to a curious Beerus. "It is likely because Goku was caught in the energy burst of his own Spirit Bomb," Whis explained calmly. "The collision between that massive energy and Goku's own Ki broke through the internal shackles of his body, allowing him to briefly access Ultra Instinct."
A smirk finally touched Vegeta's lips. He knew it! Kakarot wasn't more talented; he had just been hit by the right explosion at the right time. If it had been Vegeta in the center of that blast, he was certain he could have achieved the same result.
The only reason Kakarot was hogging the spotlight was because he was the only one who could use the Spirit Bomb. Still, Vegeta felt a flicker of hope for his future self. Surely he wouldn't spend the entire Tournament of Power in the shadows while Kakarot took all the glory.
The video then shifted focus to explain the mechanics of the transformation. "The state Son Goku has entered is not yet complete. It is known as Ultra Instinct Sign. The core principle of Ultra Instinct is allowing the body to act entirely on its own.
" The narrator's voice was clinical, breaking down the divine technique. "Usually, even for gods, the brain must issue a command before the body reacts. For ordinary people, this happens in an instant, making it feel simultaneous."
"However," the narrator continued, "for the truly powerful, that tiny delay between thought and action is a weakness. By skipping the brain's processing time, speed and defense are increased exponentially. This is the essence of Ultra Instinct Signāthe body making defensive maneuvers without the need for conscious thought."
Across the Wanjie Multiverse, viewers stared in disbelief. To them, the delay between a thought and a movement was so infinitesimal it couldn't even be measured.
Milliseconds? Microseconds? It was a blink of an eye. Yet, in the world of Dragon Ball, these monsters found that speed to be "too slow." They realized that for beings who could move faster than light, even a micro-second of thinking was a fatal opening.
In the world of One Piece, Garp scratched his head. "Let the body react on its own? Isn't that just muscle memory? Is that really so hard?" Sengoku sighed, rubbing his temples. "It's clearly not that simple, Garp.
If it were, the gods in that video wouldn't be looking at Goku like he just performed a miracle." Meanwhile, the Armor Summoner Akira processed the information with his tactical mind.
If he could master such a thing, he could face the most dangerous foes without the burden of hesitation, letting his instincts handle the chaos of battle. Even Tien Shinhan, watching from his own timeline, felt a renewed sense of vigor, realizing the heights a martial artist could truly reach.
