Krillin sighed as he watched the shimmering heat radiating from the arena. "Goku has once again entered Ultra Instinct," he muttered, a mix of pride and regret in his voice. "But it's a pity. I've already been eliminated and can only watch from here."
Tien Shinhan nodded solemnly, his three eyes fixed on the spectacle. "Yes, at this point, all we can do is watch Goku from the stands and cheer him on with everything we've got."
"At least you guys actually made it to the arena," Yamcha added with a self-deprecating shrug. "I'm stuck back on Earth just waiting for the news."
Piccolo remained silent for a moment, his arms crossed over his chest, his gaze piercing through the chaotic energy of the void. "Goku... that guy has finally reached a height we can't even imagine again."
Watching Son Goku enter the state of Ultra Instinct once more, the Z Fighters were filled with a whirlwind of emotion. Yet, none of them found it truly strange. As Goku's oldest friends and rivals, they understood the core of his spirit better than anyone. Every time he encountered a terrifyingly powerful enemy and fell into a desperate situation, Goku would find a way to turn the tide.
This time was no exception, and they believed in their hearts that this wouldn't be the first, nor the last time he defied the impossible. The "little squirt" they once knew had grown into a god-like figure, and they felt a quiet honor just to still be fighting by his side. Of course, Yamcha was the outlier, deeply regretting that he hadn't secured a spot in the Tournament of Power.
Meanwhile, inside the high-gravity chamber of his spaceship, Vegeta watched the broadcast with a dark, displeased expression. "This is Kakarot's second time stealing the spotlight," he growled, his knuckles whitening. "Where am I? Where is my moment?"
Vegeta was thoroughly dissatisfied with his own performance in the recording. Although his video self had eliminated several contestants, it lacked the legendary flair of Kakarot's transformation. He burned with the desire to burst out with that same overwhelming strength. How could he, the dignified Prince of all Saiyans, be viewed as inferior to a low-class warrior? But looking at the current flow of battle, it seemed the Tournament of Power was becoming Kakarot's solo stage.
In the video, having stabilized the silver-white glow of Ultra Instinct, Son Goku rapidly closed the gap between himself and Kefla. Kefla, seeing Goku's transformation, didn't recoil in fear; instead, she erupted with excitement. This was the challenge she craved! No longer holding back, she roared as her aura turned a jagged green, transforming into a Super Saiyan and unleashing her full, unrestrained power.
The two clashed with enough force to shake the entire World of Void. Even with the divine reflexes of Ultra Instinct, Goku found he couldn't decisively defeat Kefla. As the battle intensified, Akira and the other observers across the multiverse noticed a glaring issue. While Goku could dodge Kefla's ferocious attacks with effortless grace, his own strikes seemed to lack the necessary "bite." His offensive capabilities were simply not on the same level as his absolute defense.
High in the stands, Whis offered a calm explanation to the nervous deities. "When Goku attacks, he is still thinking about how to strike. This subconscious deliberation prevents him from fully entrusting his movements to his body's instinct."
Across the Heavens and Myriad Worlds, the viewers absorbed this revelation.
Sengoku, the former Fleet Admiral, stroked his chin. "I see. In terms of defense, Son Goku has managed to act without thought, letting his body react on its own. But on the offense, the lag of the mind weakens the blow."
Duanmu Yan nodded in agreement. "I remember nowâthe narrator mentioned that this state isn't the complete form. It's only Ultra Instinct Sign."
"So," Zhang Chulan chimed in, "when Goku can strike without thinking, he'll finally reach the Perfected Ultra Instinct?"
"Indeed," Beerus cut in, his tone unusually grave. "But achieving that is difficultâextremely difficult." As the only God of Destruction who had mastered the 'Sign,' Beerus knew the agonizing wall that stood before the final step.
He had reached this plateau eons ago and had never been able to cross it, eventually pivoting to his own path of Destruction. If it were easy, he wouldn't have given up.
Watching Goku, whose stamina was almost completely depleted, Beerus found it nearly impossible to imagine the Saiyan breaking through now. He hoped for a Universe 7 victory, but he didn't dare fantasize about a miracle.
Kakashi Hatake watched the screen intently. "Even so, with just Ultra Instinct Sign, shouldn't he be invincible?"
"The question is endurance," Kurosaki Ichigo countered. "How long can he maintain that heat? If he doesn't end this quickly, his body will give out before Kefla does."
Piccolo remained optimistic. "Goku has a chance. His attacks may be less effective, but they aren't useless. He just needs to seize the right moment."
The spectators agreed. Unlike his earlier bout with Jiren, where Goku's attacks felt like pebbles against a mountain, Kefla was taking damage. There was a glimmer of hope.
Just as the viewers prayed for a breakthrough, Goku realized he was running out of time. He noticed Kefla blocking his direct strikes, sensing that a war of attrition would be his downfall. He made a daring, tactical move that left the gods speechless.
As Kefla gathered her Ki into a massive, spiraling energy blast, Goku didn't retreat. Instead, he leaped directly into the path of the beam, surfing along the trajectory of her attack with his golden-blue aura. In a flash, he arrived directly in front of her, the two Saiyans separated by barely an arm's length.
At point-blank range, Goku began charging a Kamehameha. He wasn't aiming to shatter her body; he was aiming to move her. Kefla, caught in the middle of her own massive exertion, was wide open. She watched in horror as the blue light engulfed her vision. The force of the blast acted like a physical hammer, launching her backward with irresistible momentum.
Because Kefla was a fusion of two souls, Goku's tactical strike eliminated both Caulifla and Kale in a single blow. With their departure, Universe 6's numbers plummeted, leaving them on the brink of total erasure.
