Arianna pressed her lips together thoughtfully before lowering her gaze.
"Werewolves heal quickly," she explained calmly. "And I'm not just the pack doctor I'm also a warrior."
Jacqueline blinked at her in confusion.
"That answers the question you asked earlier," Arianna added.
"Oh." Jacqueline nodded slowly, still trying to process the information. "That's… actually pretty cool."
A few seconds later, a man entered the room carrying a bag. He handed it to Arianna without a word and left immediately.
Jacqueline watched silently as Arianna opened the bag and then took hold of her injured arm, gripping her wrist firmly to keep it steady.
"Honey," Arianna said quietly, glancing at Santiago.
He understood instantly and nodded.
From seemingly nowhere, Santiago produced a dagger. Before Jacqueline could even ask what was happening, he gently but firmly placed the hilt between her teeth.
