The Red Wind students from every grade level—looking fierce, savage, and clearly like post-apocalyptic gangsters who had been hanging out around flaming barrels scattered across the court—started approaching them, carrying their weapons.
"Okay... we're fucked up. Get back, babe," Jason said, pulling Kimberly behind him and grabbing the strap of his sniper bag.
"Yep, exactly... just get ready," Dennis replied, pulling Daisy behind him and raising his fists.
"You, get back," Gary said, stepping forward and pulling Olivia back, then standing next to Dennis while readying his hand on the hilt of the sword at his waist.
"Okay," Kimberly, Daisy, and Olivia replied, each gripping their husband's arm from behind.
