That night, after returning to the apartment, Dennis stayed by Daisy's side in the bedroom until she fell asleep. Their apartment was still shrouded in darkness because the city remained stationary, anchored next to Onyx City in the waters off the Antarctic continent— the very heart of the darkness. Dennis quietly slipped out of the room, his body wrapped in a blanket against the cold and carrying a portable lamp. He opened the door slowly and shut it without a sound, then made his way over to sit on the sofa. Once there, he immediately pulled up his interface to look over his skills once more.
[Do you want to try it, master? Aren't you tired?]
"Yeah, I'm not tired, and I can't sleep because I'm curious. I want to try it," Dennis replied.
[Very well, master.]
