"Crack," "Skrieeeeek."
Dennis yanked his hand out of a tusk crawler's body, and it collapsed instantly, no longer moving. He stood up and turned to see his wife, Daisy, behind him, gasping for air after defeating her enemy. He also saw Gary and Olivia looking exhausted, as were Jason and Kimberly. Beyond them, many 10th and 11th-grade students were panting, some propping up those wounded in the recent fight. Despite the carnage, all the monsters had been defeated, leaving everyone looking like a mess—their clothes soaked and covered in blood and slime.
Afterward, Dennis looked at his hand and clenched it. He could still feel energy surging through his body. He deactivated Blood Bath and Ultimate Cry for his friends, then realized he had been using Blood Bath for 30 minutes without slipping into a berserk state.
"This is really weird," Dennis muttered in his heart.
