Black spots appeared in his vision as blood trickled from the corner of his lips.
Despite that, Nie Li couldn't give up. He couldn't stop, as doing so would only cost Ye Xiu and the others their lives.
With that thought in mind, Nie Li struggled through the dizziness as he roared at the top of his lungs, warning everyone before unleashing the stored lightning energy within the Thunder God Meteorite Sword.
"Lord Ye Xiu, let go of the sword and take cover!"
Hearing him, everyone's attention shifted to him for a second. Their eyes nearly bulged out of their sockets as they saw the terrifying amount of lightning crackling around Nie Li's Thunder God Meteorite Sword.
They didn't take Nie Li's words lightly. They hurriedly let go of the enormous sword, causing the Abyss Demon to lose its balance and topple backward.
Nie Li seized the opportunity and swung his Thunder God Meteorite Sword, creating a gigantic streak of lightning that shot straight toward the Abyss Demon.
A deafening boom reverberated as blinding light flashed. The Abyss Demon let out a pain-filled cry as the lightning pierced through its chest.
Above it, Nie Li struggled to hold the Thunder God Meteorite Sword as he fought through the pain.
His grip on the hilt tightened as his muscles spasmed. His lips felt extremely dry as steam rose from his body.
But Nie Li ignored all of it. With bloodshot eyes and an unyielding heart, he pushed himself to his absolute limit, ending the Abyss Demon's reign of terror.
Crackle!
Boom!
A deafening explosion echoed as the massive streaks of lightning dissipated.
This was followed by a tremor caused by the lifeless body of the Abyss Demon crashing onto the ground with a massive thud.
"He did it! The boy actually defeated the Abyss Demon!"
One soldier exclaimed in disbelief. Tears streamed down that soldier's cheeks as he realized the greatest threat had finally been eliminated.
But before everyone could break into celebration, another earthquake erupted. Ye Xiu and the rest instinctively looked into the distance, where a powerful aura suddenly burst forth.
Horror dawned on everyone as a colossal figure towered over the residences.
From where they stood, a gigantic snake-like creature with charcoal-colored scales and two heads crawled out of the Abyss Realm portal.
"Hahaha! It seems that even the heavens are favoring my Dark Guild. Who would've thought that an Abyss Two-Headed King Constrictor would actually find the portal and come through it? Hahaha! Ye Zong, this is your punishment for looking down on my Dark Guild."
The cloaked figure let out boisterous laughter as an unexpected yet completely welcome guest arrived to help them cause even more destruction within the City Lord's Mansion.
"Not good! The Abyss Two-Headed King Constrictor is a far tougher opponent than the Abyss Demon. Even if we use the Thunder Killing Array and the Tai Yi Killing Array together, their combined power won't be enough to inflict significant damage on it."
Nie Li cursed through gritted teeth. If only the Ten Thousand Demonic Array had been completed, they would have had enough firepower to defeat the Abyss Two-Headed King Constrictor.

Before his consciousness faded into darkness, the voice he had been longing to hear for called out his name, making him fight the drowsiness even harder.
A pair of arms wrapped around his spent frame, catching him in midair. Nie Li forced open his eyelids to catch a glimpse of the person supporting him.
What greeted him was Ye Ziyun's beautiful face, her eyes filled with concern as she examined the condition of his body.
For a brief moment, Nie Li's mind returned to the night he and Ye Ziyun had shared a tent together. They had gazed up at the starry sky, their eyes filled with uncertainty about what the future held.
He had embraced her delicate body as they shared each other's warmth, cherishing one another's presence. It had been the only thing that allowed them both to smile despite the cruelty of the world around them.
"Nie Li, quick! Take this!"
The image of the older Ye Ziyun vanished as the younger one hurriedly poured a bottle of elixir into his mouth.
Ye Ziyun was panicking as she sensed that Nie Li had exhausted all of his spiritual energy and was on the verge of severe soul exhaustion.
Nie Li tried to say something but stopped as the rich medicinal efficacy of the elixir Ye Ziyun had given him took effect. A wave of extremely powerful spiritual energy surged through his meridians.
Sensing this, Nie Li quickly closed his eyes and recited the verses of the Heavenly God Cultivation Technique, properly guiding the chaotic spiritual energy within his soul realm.

A violent gust of wind swept across the battlefield. The ear-piercing cries of the Abyss Two-Headed King Constrictor rang through everyone's ears before gradually fading away as the beam of light vaporized its body.
Nie Li sucked in a cold breath. The hairs on the back of his neck stood on end as a bead of sweat rolled down his forehead.
The upper half of the Abyss Two-Headed King Constrictor's body had been reduced to nothingness. The ground where it had stood glowed red, while parts of the earth had turned into crystal, a testament to the unimaginable temperature contained within that beam of light.
"Xue Hui..." Ye Ziyun muttered in astonishment.
Nie Li's eyes widened. He turned to glance at Ye Ziyun, only to find her staring toward the distant sky with unmistakable admiration shining in her eyes.
Following her gaze, Nie Li immediately found the object of her admiration.
Xue Hui floated above the City Lord's Mansion. In his hand was a white halberd, while twelve Origin Spheres circled around him. His green robes fluttered in the wind as his glowing eyes calmly surveyed the destruction below.
Overall, Xue Hui looked like a lone hero standing amidst the chaos, and an absolutely intimidating one, if you asked Nie Li or the cloaked figure.
