Chapter 16 - The New Dawn

Scene 1 - Between Life and Death
The wind does not stop.
The golden sunrise flickers as if unsure whether to stay.
Eunwoo lies still in Su jin's arm.
His breathing is faint – too faint .
Mia (voice trembling) :
"There has to be a way....Su jin, do something!"
Su jin shakes her head, tears blurring her vision.
Su jin (broken) :
"I destroyed her....I ended the curse....why is this happening?!"
The faint scar on Eunwoo's wrist begins to glow crimson again.
Not bright.
Not powerful.
Just...lingering.
Like a final thread refusing to snap.
Lisa steps back in fear.
Lisa :
"The curse...it's still there."
Su jin's hand tremble violently.
For the first time since battle –
She feels helpless.
Scene 2 - The Realization
The Witch's final word echo in her mind.
If I was destroyed because one of them....that child would not live.
She closes her eyes.
"No" she whispers.
Then louder –
"No!"
Silver light flickers weakly around her fingers – but it is not enough.
She looks at her friends.
They are crying.
Terrified.
But still standing with her.
Suddenly, she understands.
The curse was never about blood.
It was about control.
About obedience.
About fear.
Eunwoo defined it.
He choose love.
So why should the curse still decide his fate?
Scene 3 - Breaking The Last chain
Su jin places her hand over the glowing scar on Eunwoo's wrist.
The crimson light pulses once.
Twice.
She inhales sharply.
Su jin (steady, through tears) :
"You said bloodlines belong to you."
Her silver light grows stronger.
"But we choose who we belong to."
The others step closer, placing their hands over hers.
Not for power.
For support.
The circle forms again—this time not against darkness.
But against fate.
Su jin :
"I chose myself.
He chose me.
And I choose him again."
The crimson light cracks.
A thin fracture splits across the mark.
Then another.
Then—
It shatters like glass.
The red glow dissolves into dust.
Eunwoo gasps suddenly, pulling in a sharp breath.
Scene 4 - Return
"Eunwoo!" Mia cries.
Su Jin pulls him close as his eyes slowly open.
He looks confused for a moment—
Then he sees her.
And smiles weakly.
Eunwoo :
"Guess… I'm stubborn."
Su Jin laughs through tears.
Su jin (soft, crying) :
"You scared me."
He lifts his hand weakly.
"I told you… we'd carve a new fate."
The last trace of shadow disappears.
This time—
It doesn't return.
Su Jin turns and pulls Eunwoo into a tight embrace.
He wraps his arms around her without hesitation.
The others join, laughing softly, forming a warm group hug beneath the rising sun.
Golden light surrounds them.
Not as magic.
But as new morning.
Mia(Thinking, little sad, but happy for Su jin):
"Eunwoo...I am happy you are back and now you are with Su jin, but I also like you so much but I think I can't confess because...Su Jin and you both love each other and really a good match"
Mia (Happily to Su jin and Eunwoo) :
"Finally, we can say now we are free. Su jin and Eunwoo you both are literally a match made in heaven. Be like this always."
Scene 5 - Waking to peace
Su jin wakes in her own bed, sunlight pouring through the window. For the first time in months, there are no nightmares, no Shadows. She touches her wrist–smooth skin, no marks.
Mia enters with a tray of food.
Mia (smiling):
"You slept for whole day. I was starting to think you liked dreaming more than us."
Su jin laughs softly, tears in her eyes.
Scene 6 - The Friends Reunited
The group gathers at the old library–no longer cursed, now bathed in warm light. Dustly books sit quietly, just books again.
Lisa hugs Su jin tightly.
Lisa (teasing, but emotional) :
"Never scare me like that again. If you try. I will tie you to me forever."
Minho bows his head.
Minho (sincerely) :
"Thank you... For letting me stand by you again. I won't waste this second chance."
Suho, quieter than usual, looks at Su jin with soft eyes.
Suho :
"As long as you are happy, that's enough for me."
Scene 7 - Su jin and Eunwoo
Later Su jin and Eunwoo walk together under the morning sky. The air feels lighter.
Su jin (playful, but soft) :
"So... No more betrayer's blood between us?"
Eunwoo clutches, is usual calm hiding emotion.
Eunwoo (smiling) :
"No... Just my blood, my heart, my life–yours. If you will have it."
Su jin's cheeks blush. She looks away, but slips her hand into his.
Su jin :
"I already chose you."
They walk hand in hand as sunlight filters through the trees.
Scene 8 - The Marks Remain
Each friend still bears a faint scar where the Crimson sigil once burned. They sit together, examing them.
Mia (softly) :
"Proof we survived."
Lisa (grinning) :
"Proof we will never escape each other, even if we tried."
The group laughs, warmth spreading through them.
Scene 9 - Closing Montage
• Su jin studying magic, not as a curse but as a gift, teaching children in her town.
• Lisa opening a cafe, always reserving a table for the group.
• Minho training others, determined to be a shield, not as a traitor.
• Mia writing a book about their story, leaving no page cursed.
• Suho travelling, but always returning when Su jin calls.
• Eunwoo working beside Su jin, not as her protector, but as her partner.
Final Scene - The Sunrise
The six friends sit together on a rooftop, watching the sunrise. Su jin leans against Eunwoo's shoulder, smiling softly.
Su jin (voiceover) :
"The curse was never just Shadows and pain. It was a test–to see if we could hold on to each other when everything tried to break us. And we did. This is not an ending. This is our beginning.
The sun rises higher, golden light filling the screen.
[ Fade Out ]
