Kairos rolled the vial between his fingers, watching the green liquid swirl within.
"Careful with that," the stall owner said, leaning forward. "That's not something you shake around like juice."
Kairos glanced up.
A third-year, judging by the crest. Lean build. Sharp eyes. The kind that measured people before speaking.
What's the effect?" Kairos asked calmly.
The senior smirked slightly. "Paralytic. Low grade, but fast. Seeps through cuts. Within ten seconds muscles stiffen. Within a few minutes, complete loss of movement."
Kairos raised a brow. "And the price?"
"Three hundred credits."
Kairos almost laughed hearing that. "Too expensive. What's the actual price?"
The senior snorted. "Then don't buy it."
Kairos placed the vial back down but didn't remove his hand.
"Low-grade toxin. Look at the residue at the base." He tilted the vial slightly, leaving a deep mark on the glass.
"It'll lose potency if stored for long."
The senior's eyes narrowed. Kairos continued, nodding.
