Mira stayed quiet for a moment before asking. "Why didn't you tell me?" She knew precisely why Ray couldn't tell her but she couldn't help asking, simply because she wanted to hear him say it himself.
"How?" Ray drifted his gaze and looked at her. ""How do you explain something impossible? How do you tell someone you died five years in the future and woke up in the past?"
"You could have tried."
"I know."
Both sat in silence and Mira reached out to him and placed her hand on his. "The girl, Sera. The reason you want to find her is because she's a healer right?"
"Among other reasons, but yes, that's one of the main reasons why I want to find her."
"And you think she hates the same people you do?"
"She should. I'm sure she wants revenge against them for doing something I'm not sure of yet."
"Do you think we'll be able to find her?"
"Yes, we should be able to find her, though that won't be easy."
"But she's a noble. Do you really believe we can trust her?"
