Lisa clenched her fists, closing her eyes tightly in anticipation as she muttered:
"Let's date..."
Aren's eyes snapped wide open in shock.
'What is she talking about?!'
He screamed in his heart, lowering his head to look at the woman in his arms. She had her eyes closed, fists clenched, and face buried into his chest, barring him from looking at her expression. He could only see the top of her head, her long, dark brown hair, loosely falling on the white sheets of the bed.
Other than that, he could feel her warmth against him, her breathing brushing against his chest, the thumping of her beating heart resounding in the silence of the room even though it was faint.
Knowing he couldn't have a conversation in this position, he first let go of her before sitting upright on the bed.
