The thought tightened something in my chest, and I could feel my instincts stirring. Finnick frowned beside me, sensing the same anger I did. Noah didn't trust Xavier either.
"Mr. Norton, do you really believe what Xavier said?" he asked, eyes sharp.
"Xavier and I go way back. I know him. He isn't the kind to lie about something he's done," I replied firmly. "Efficiency… that's another matter."
