The car driving through the night, the streetlights flickering past. Viella leaned her head against the cool glass of the window, her fingers tracing the outline of the gun beneath her dress. Waiting for the right moment to strike.
And then it arrived-
"Young Lady, I think we are being followed!" the driver gasped, his eyes darting to the rearview mirror.
Viella's lips curled into a sharp smirk. "Finally," she whispered.
Behind them, two black sedans drifted out of the shadows. They weren't hiding anymore. They were closing the gap, weaving through traffic with high speed.
The bodyguard in the passenger seat frantically reached for his radio to call the main estate.
"This is Unit 4, we are under pursuit! Requesting immediate-"
"Put it down," Viella commanded, her voice cold and commanding.
The guard froze, the radio halfway to his lips. "But young lady, we need to inform Lord Lucian! If we don't get backup, I am afraid this will become-"
