"We finish it."
The words didn't sit.
They moved.
Fast.
Sharp.
Final.
Sebastian turned away from the screen.
No hesitation.
No second thoughts.
"Pull everything from that site," he said.
Vivian was already moving.
Her fingers flew across the system.
Logs opened.
Signals replayed.
Time stamps aligned.
"Reconstructing movement," she said.
Alaric leaned in.
"What are we looking for?"
Sebastian's eyes didn't move.
"Not what they showed us."
A pause.
"What they hid."
Silence.
Then—
Vivian froze.
"…wait."
Her brows tightened.
She zoomed in.
Replayed.
Slowed it down.
Again.
Her breathing changed slightly.
"That's not right."
Sebastian stepped closer.
"What is it?"
She pointed.
"The signal."
A beat.
"It didn't move."
Alaric frowned.
"They were there."
"No," Vivian said quietly.
"They wanted us to think they were there."
Silence dropped.
Heavy.
Sebastian's jaw tightened.
"Explain."
