The following morning inside the Valenridge Executive Hall felt quieter than the previous day.
But the atmosphere inside the council chamber remained serious.
Several council executives were already seated around the long polished table reviewing sensitive social cases before the official session began.
Vivian entered calmly carrying a slim folder in her hand while Chairman Elias and the other council members greeted her respectfully.
It was only her second day officially sitting among them.
Yet somehow— She already looked like she belonged there.
One of the female executives smiled warmly.
"You caused quite an impression yesterday, Mrs. Ravenscroft."
Another elderly council member nodded.
"The younger citizens especially responded positively to your speech on marriage reform."
Vivian smiled politely before taking her seat.
Chairman Elias adjusted his glasses slowly.
"Which is exactly why this next case has become delicate."
