The next morning arrived without a single alarm. No urgent knocks.
No classified reports waiting outside Sebastian's door.
Only sunlight spilling across Ravenscroft Manor.
Sebastian finished buttoning a light blue shirt as Vivian walked into the dressing room. She stopped, folded her arms, and smiled.
"So..."
He looked up.
"So?"
"Mr. President."
He laughed.
"I already don't like that tone."
"When was the last time you took me out?"
Sebastian blinked.
"Out?"
"Yes."
"Like normal people do."
He thought carefully. Then frowned.
"I honestly can't remember."
Vivian pretended to sigh dramatically.
"That's exactly why we're going."
He raised an eyebrow.
"Going where?"
"Shopping."
Sebastian stared at her as though she had suggested climbing a mountain barefoot.
"Shopping?"
"And coffee."
"And lunch."
"And maybe a walk."
He laughed.
