AUTHOR'S POV
Just as Erik asked to Kill her, Max looked at Marcus and the others who were too stunned by everything....
Max was barely alive.... One of the bodyguards took out a gun and pointed at Max....
Max looked at the bodyguard, his hands were trembling... Max knew he didn't want to do it because in that house they always cared for her secretly....
Even while beating her up earlier... They were restraing themselves from using their strength...
Max looked at the bodyguard and with a faint smile, closed her eyes giving him permission to shoot.... But the bodyguard was still hesitating....
Erik shouted from behind " Shoot that bitch or else you will also join her to hell later!!"
Max looked at the bodyguard and nodded her head... Erik was getting impatient and he came towards the bodyguard to take the gun and do it himself but before he could reach the bodyguard shot her....
One bullet pierced through her right shoulder and the next through her stomach.. The gun shot sound made everyone in there scream....
Blood started pouring out from the wounds... Erik smiled with satisfaction...
" This is what you get for ruining my family!"
said Erik and left her there with the bodyguards....
MAX'S POV
My vision was getting blurry and I was loosing consciousness.... No one came to help me.... I could hear them murmur...
" Should we help her?" " Didn't you see how her family treated her? " " What if they come after us for Helping her?" " She deserves it"
" She was the one fooling around"
I looked at my friends.... Who were just standing there looking at me.... Kian and Marcus eyes were red.... Nick was a crying mess....
Before loosing consciousness I heard someone shouting my name... But I was too tired... I just wanted to sleep and never wake up.....
I looked at them one last time and drifted off into the darkness...
AUTHOR'S POV
Alex shouted her name and rushed towards her with his parents rushing after him...
Alex was a mess seeing her like this, so was his parents... Alex tried stopping her bleeding...
Alex father called for car..... His mother took off her scarf and told Alex to move and started applying pressure on her wound to stop the bleeding....
Alex looked at the blood in his hands.... Fear washing over him... He didn't want to lose her....
Just then the car arrived.... Alex's father carried Max into the car and placed her in his and his wife's lap screaming at the driver to start the car....
Alex told his parents to leave with her first.... They left.... Alex looked at the ground and saw the chain he gave her yesterday he grabbed it and placed it in his pocket and then he looked at the crowd, his blood was boiling.....
He went towards Marcus and punched his face so hard that he felled down and spat blood...
He crouched down and grabbed his collar screaming at him...
" Why!!!!! Why did you do this?!!!! Why did it has to be you?!!! Why?!! "
Tears streamed down from his face.... He looked at Kian and Nick.... He went towards Nick with bloodshot eyes fuming in anger and grabbed his neck chocking him...
" She loved you.... Cared for you as her own... And even then you guys also choose to ruin her ? "
Nick was about to pass out when Kian intervened and saved him from Alex...
Alex took a few steps back and looked at all of them....
" She cared for each and every single one of you and yet you choose to do this to her... From today onwards we have nothing to do with each other...."
Alex looked at Marcus and said...
" From today onwards we are not family anymore... I'm cutting our blood ties with eachother..."
" I'm your brother!!! You are going to cut ties with me for an outsider??!!!! "
Said Marcus...
" Who said she is an outsider? She is my family!! She matters to more than you...." Said Alex
Alex turned to leave.... He then looked at them for one last time and said....
" Only if you guys have waited till the evening.... Don't you dare come to me or her when you realise the truth!!!..."
said Alex before leaving...
MARCUS'S POV
After Alex left we all went to the class....
I saw how shaken Nick looked after everything.... Kian was consoling him.... But he no better that Nick.... He looked bad...
Nor was I.... I could feel my chest tighten thinking about how she was treated earlier by her family....
I was lost in my thoughts when Kian's words made me look at them....
" Did we make a mistake? "
I didn't say anything.... Even I was thinking that....
There was a deep silence between us... Just then I got a call from my mother....
I took the call and I could feel the anger in her voice... She asked me to come home with Kian and Nick....
I told them about this... They were confused just like me... We all went to my home...
Just as I entered I was greeted by a slap from my mother.... I was shocked.. My mother has never raised her voice over me let alone raising her hand...
I looked at her and she said...
" Why did I gave birth to a son like you? "
I looked at her then at my Dad and saw both Nick and Kian's parents were also there... They also got slapped by their parents....
I couldn't understand why our parents were being so angry at us... They knew how devastated we were when we lost her...
They wanted to take revenge for us but we stopped them and did it ourselves... Then why...
I asked them.... My father was fuming with anger... He grabbed my collar....
" You wanted to know why right? Okay I'll show" said my Dad... And he pulled out his phone....
He showed me the video we took yesterday..... I asked him why he was showing us that...
He told us to focus on her skin.... That's when I noticed the scares.... Some were new, some were old... some were almost fading and some were there permanently....
Words didn't came out of my mouth.... I looked at Nick and Kian they were in similar state as me....
" After we recorded the video the three of us refused to watch it..." said Nick....
It can't be real... I said...
Which only made my Dad more angry....
" Not real? Okay..... Then see this..... See these reports....." said Dad....
He showed us more photos of Her... From the hospital.... With wounds, bruises, cuts.... Her medical reports confirming she would have died long ago....
" She was getting treated at our hospital.... I was also one of her treating Doctor.... I knew how much she was suffering in that house" said Dad...
" How could you do this to her? She loved you... She loved you with her whole heart..." Said Mom...
" Did you forget the time you got kidnapped? She came to rescue you? She was hospitalized that day... She came directly from the hospital in the middle of her treatment for you and she almost died protecting you...." Said Kian's Mom...
" And you.... Who protected you all these years? Who helped you with your traumas and your counselling sections? Who came to comfort you in the middle of the night? Who came to take you back home in the night from the middle of nowhere? " Said Nick's Mom...
" Who has loved you like this? She gave her all love to you... She was ready to die for you... But you? What did you do? You use that love against her...." Said My Mom...
"We are ashamed to have son's like you..." They said and all went inside leaving us there...
It can't be true.... If it was we would have noticed.... I said...
We all agreed....
