Benjamin and Wren bowed their heads deeply as Princess Sofia approached.
"And who are our esteemed guests?" Sofia asked, looking towards Charles with a playful but mischievous smile.
Charles provided a short introduction. "This is Dr. Benjamin Nystrom. He runs a clinic on the outskirts of Aster. And this is Dr. Wren Baek, who has traveled here to work with our local clinics."
Despite his calm demeanor, the subtle glare he directed at Wren told Sofia everything she needed to know about which doctor Charles had been occupied with lately.
"Dr. Nystrom, Dr. Baek, I'm glad you could both join us. What brings you to the ball?" Sofia inquired.
"I have old family relations in Zephyr. No one important enough for Her Highness to know, I'm sure. But, I am very grateful that His Highness is escorting us there," Wren replied with practiced politeness.
"And you, Dr. Nystrom?" Sofia asked, turning her gaze to Benjamin.
