The full truth about Benjamin is finally revealed. Years ago, under the alias Dr. Atlas Night, he was part of a covert AMA task force that infiltrated a secret laboratory conducting horrific human rights experiments. He escaped as the only survivor, taking the research files with him, while every other member of the task force and everyone at the lab was killed.
The lab originally belonged to Wren's family, and Wren has since redirected its research toward eliminating secondary genders entirely. He spent years hunting Benjamin across the empire, eventually tracking him to Aster.
Wren pursues Benjamin for more than the files. Benjamin reminds him of Atlas, his first love, whom he lost in a painful chapter of his past.
