Chapter 65 - The Rebirth of a Friend

Point of View: Sylvanas

I stood within my home.

For days, I had avoided the decision. I had postponed it, analyzed it from every possible angle. But I could no longer hesitate.

It was time to choose my path.

"System, show me the list of unique professions."

The interface appeared before me.

[Wild Huntress]

You specialize in summoning and empowering your companion beast, which deals the majority of damage in combat. You coordinate attacks and increase your animal ally's effectiveness, striking in sync and exploiting every opening in your enemies.

[Lethal Marksman]

Your aim and precision are your greatest weapons. Each shot deals direct and critical damage from a distance, allowing you to keep enemies under constant pressure. Your attacks are fast, precise, and devastating, making you an unstoppable threat.

The System confirmed that both were equally effective in combat.

But efficiency wasn't the only thing that mattered.

I closed my eyes.

I missed my panther.

It felt unnatural to fight alone. I had learned to trust her instincts, her speed… the way our breathing would synchronize before striking.

"System… if I choose Wild Huntress, will I be able to recover my panther?"

[Yes]

That was enough.

"I choose Wild Huntress."

I murmured, impressed.

"This is incredible…"

I couldn't finish the sentence.

A warm weight knocked me to the ground.

"Moon!"

My panther began licking my face with wild enthusiasm.

I laughed, trying—and failing—to push her away.

"Alright, alright… stop…"

I hugged her tightly, burying my face in her fur.

"I missed you too, my friend."

When she looked at me, her eyes shone with the same intensity as before… but there was something more. A different spark. Deeper.

"We'll go hunting in a few days," I whispered. "Are you ready?"

Moon bared her fangs and let out a low, feral growl.

I smiled.

"That's my girl."

---

Two days later, I stood in the Portal Hall.

Behind me were the Pillars.

Primordials who knew more than the others imagined.

I couldn't reveal everything the Guardian had taught me, but the System allowed me to share part of the truth in exchange for their oath of silence.

They accepted.

Not out of ambition.

But out of responsibility.

Kael stepped beside me.

"Thank you for trusting us, Sylvanas."

I glanced at him.

"I don't do this out of trust. I do it because I need capable warriors."

He laughed.

"Arcadia and Atlantis are so similar, cooperation comes naturally to us…"

Then he added with a half-smile:

"But it's different with Rangar and Xyra. They're both crazy… each in their own way."

My expression hardened.

"As for Lysara…"

I clenched my fists.

"If it weren't for the Guardian's request, I wouldn't cooperate with her again."

Kael nodded seriously.

"The abominations took many of ours. We haven't forgotten."

The silence that followed was heavy.

Then I asked:

"Are you going first, or us?"

"We'll lead the way."

Without another word, Kael and nearly two hundred Atlanteans stepped through the portal.

Light engulfed them.

They vanished.

I turned to my people.

I saw tension in their eyes.

This was their first true conquest.

I stepped forward.

"For most of you, this will be your first world."

Silence filled the hall.

"But remember this… you are not soldiers."

Their gazes locked onto mine.

"You are the Pillars of Arcadia."

The atmosphere shifted.

Doubt turned into determination.

"That title is not decoration in your status. It is a burden. A responsibility."

Their postures straightened.

Hands tightened firmly around their weapons.

"Our duty is to be the strongest fighting force… and to protect our people."

I pointed toward the portal.

"This world is unknown. It may be filled with threats we have never faced."

I placed my fist over my chest.

"But never forget who we are."

One by one, they mirrored the gesture.

"Never forget that Primordials do not fight alone."

Their voices began to unite.

"All for one. And one for all."

I took a deep breath.

Moon stepped beside me.

I felt her steady presence.

"Move out."

And we crossed the portal.
