Chapter 75 - Ideas for Dalaran

Point of View: Genesis

I summoned Loki and Elena to my office on Dalaran's hidden island.

They arrived without delay, moving with their usual ease, as if nothing ever truly surprised them—though I knew their curiosity had already been stirred.

"Another one of your strange ideas, right, Genesis?" Loki asked with his usual mischievous smile, tilting his head slightly.

Elena observed me in silence for a few seconds before speaking in a calmer, firmer tone.

"Before coming here, I carefully checked the planet. I didn't notice anything out of the ordinary… so tell me, what kind of unusual idea do you have this time?"

"It's not strange," I replied, leaning back slightly in my chair. "I just think Dalaran can be more than a fortress designed to collect FD points."

Both of them looked at me with skepticism.

Loki raised an eyebrow, amused.

Elena crossed her arms, serious, carefully weighing my words.

"More than… what it already is?" she asked.

"Yes," I nodded. "For the inhabitants of this planet, the city is fascinating—impressive. Everything they see still amazes them. But for me… someone who was once human, it feels… boring."

I paused briefly.

"It's functional. Safe. Beautiful… but it lacks emotion. It lacks something that gives each day meaning beyond collecting points and conquering."

"You're saying you want to make it more entertaining?" Loki cut in, almost laughing. "How?"

"Exactly," I said, a faint glint appearing in my eyes. "I want to implement an arena and a dungeon tower within Dalaran. This won't increase our points or improve efficiency—because even without it, we'll continue receiving everything we need."

I leaned forward slightly.

"This is for the city. For the emotion it can create."

Elena frowned, trying to picture what I was describing.

"An arena? For fights?"

"Yes," I replied. "A place where different species can face each other in organized combat. There will be rules, participant limits, and symbolic rewards. They'll be able to bet FD points, measure their abilities, coordinate with others—and most importantly, enjoy it."

I continued, my tone steady.

"The idea is for them to create their own stories. Experiences that never existed in Dalaran before."

"And the dungeon tower?" Loki asked, leaning forward now, clearly interested. "Sounds dangerous."

"It won't be," I assured him. "It will be designed for different Ascension levels. Each instance will have a boss and scaling challenges based on the participants' strength and chosen difficulty."

I paused briefly.

"Every time someone enters, a parallel space will be generated—one that adapts to the group, whether it's five or twenty participants."

"So there's no risk of it affecting the city," Elena said, already understanding. "Everything stays contained."

"Exactly," I nodded. "And each challenge will grant rewards—equipment, armor, medicine, potions, and special treasures that vary depending on the difficulty."

I let the idea settle for a moment.

"I'm not trying to increase resources. I'm just adding another reason to train, explore… and enjoy."

"The city already works," I added calmly. "This just gives it life."

Loki let out a soft laugh, crossing his arms.

"So it's not about profit… you just want fun."

"Yes," I confirmed. "Even if this doesn't increase the points we collect, it will make the city feel alive. More interesting. More engaging."

My gaze remained steady.

"They'll create their own stories. Organize events. Overcome challenges. They'll remember that Dalaran isn't just a place to conquer or train…"

"It's a place to live."

Elena exhaled softly before nodding, showing a measured acceptance.

"Alright. If your goal is emotion and not efficiency, I have no objections. Just make sure it doesn't get out of control."

"It won't," I said with certainty. "Every detail will be regulated. Groups will be limited to five or twenty participants, and I'll create a visible ranking system in the city. The best will receive symbolic incentives."

"Everything will be carefully balanced."

"I like it," Loki said with a crooked smile. "The city will feel much more alive."

I nodded, satisfied.

As I watched them, I thought about how the arena and the tower would reshape Dalaran's dynamics.

The Ascended would have new reasons to train, coordinate, and push their limits.

And the city itself…

Would finally feel alive.

"This will be interesting," I concluded with a faint smile. "Dalaran will remain efficient and safe—but now, it will also have emotion. A life of its own."

"The arena and the tower are just the first step… but they'll make all the difference."

Loki leaned back, letting out a quiet laugh.

Elena simply looked at me, analyzing me as always.

I knew that even if they didn't fully share my perspective…

They understood the intent behind it.

And that was enough.
