The battlefield was already chaotic, but when Alexander suddenly raised his wand high above the snow fortress of Ravenclaw.
He shouted across the battlefield.
"IT'S TIME!"
Then he pointed forward.
"GOLEMS UP!"
Several upperclassmen immediately stepped forward.
They slammed their wands into the snow and shouted commands.
Large Snow Golems rose from the ground one after another—towering figures made from packed ice and snow.
With slow, heavy steps, the golems began marching toward the Hufflepuff fortress.
Behind them, Ravenclaw students charged forward.
Snowballs flew through the air as the assault began.
Hufflepuff quickly responded.
Their catapults fired massive snowballs toward the advancing golems.
But the projectiles barely did any damage.
The golems kept marching.
Suddenly, a Hufflepuff student shouted:
"Fire the cannons!"
The walls of the Hufflepuff fortress suddenly opened.
Large wooden barrels extended outward.
Alexander's eyes widened.
"Wow… Hufflepuff really doesn't want to lose this year."
A moment later—
"FIRE!"
Boom!
The cannons blasted forward, smashing into the snow golems.
Chunks of snow exploded everywhere as the massive constructs were torn apart one by one.
Alexander remained calm.
"Raise them again!"
The Ravenclaw students controlling the constructs lifted their wands.
The broken snow began pulling itself back together.
The Snow Golems rose again and continued their march toward the fortress.
Just as they got close—
Another Hufflepuff student shouted:
"This is it! Snow Badgers—GO!"
The ground burst open.
Dozens of Snow Badgers, large and small, charged forward from the fortress.
They swarmed the Snow Golems, climbing over them and tearing them apart.
The battlefield became a snowstorm.
The Ravenclaw front line began falling back.
Alexander watched the chaos for a moment.
Then he slowly floated upward into the air.
His voice echoed across the battlefield.
"RAVENCLAW!"
Everyone looked up.
"CROW STORM!"
Alexander waved his wand rapidly.
Dozens, then hundreds of snow crows formed in the air.
He launched them forward like arrows.
The Ravenclaw students immediately followed his example.
More and more snow crows appeared.
These were far faster and harder than normal snowballs.
The storm of white birds slammed into the Hufflepuff defenses.
Students screamed and ran as the crows struck their shields and walls.
The cannons were quickly overwhelmed.
Some crows flew straight into the barrels, clogging them until they exploded with bursts of snow.
The Hufflepuff lines began collapsing.
Alexander saw the moment clearly.
They were winning.
He raised his wand again.
"FINAL ATTACK! GO!"
Everyone except a small defensive team charged forward.
Ravenclaw students rushed the fortress walls.
Alexander pointed toward the glowing defensive barrier surrounding the structure.
"Everyone!"
"Let's break it in one go!"
He raised his wand.
"FIRE!"
Spells erupted everywhere.
Students shouted, blasting spells like Confringo and Bombarda.
The explosions slammed into the fortress barrier.
Smoke and snow filled the air.
For a moment, no one could see anything.
Soon, the smoke cleared, and Hufflepuff's defense was broken.
Cho was the first to notice and sprinted forward.
She grabbed the Hufflepuff flag and raised it high.
The Ravenclaw students erupted into cheers.
Hufflepuff had fallen first.
But the celebration didn't last long.
Someone suddenly shouted.
"Look!"
Ravenclaw students turned toward their own fortress.
Their smiles vanished.
The Ravenclaw fortress had been taken.
Standing proudly on the walls were Fred and George Weasley.
Fred waved the Ravenclaw flag.
"Hey, look!"
"I found a Ravenclaw flag!"
George laughed.
"It'll look nice inside the Gryffindor fortress!"
The twins laughed loudly.
Alexander floated onto the walls of the snow fortress and stared at them.
"You guys betrayed us?"
Fred grinned.
"Not betrayed."
George shrugged.
"More like ambushed."
Fred added proudly,
"We won't let you win again this year."
George pointed dramatically.
"This year belongs to GRYFFINDOR!"
Alexander crossed his arms.
"So if you're here…"
He tilted his head.
"Who's defending your fortress?"
The twins laughed confidently.
"Don't worry about it!"
Before Alexander could respond, Cho suddenly ran back toward them.
"I think Slytherin is going to win this year."
Alexander blinked.
"Oh? Why's that?"
Cho pointed toward the distance.
"They built bigger snow snakes this year."
"They're already besieging Gryffindor."
The twins froze.
Their confident smiles disappeared instantly.
"Wait…"
"What?!"
Then they both screamed.
"GUYS! BACK!"
"We need to go back!"
They sprinted across the battlefield with their entire assault team following behind them.
Alexander and all the Ravenclaw students climbed onto the wall and watched the battlefield.
Across the courtyard, massive Snow Snakes coiled around the Gryffindor fortress.
The giant constructs tightened their icy bodies around the structure.
Bit by bit, the fortress collapsed.
Alexander and Cho burst out laughing as they watched the twins and their assault group desperately running back to defend it.
But it was too late.
Within minutes, the fortress disappeared under a mountain of snow.
A loud cheer suddenly rose across the battlefield.
The Slytherin students were celebrating.
Alexander floated into the air and raised his wand.
"Good war, everyone!"
He pointed toward the victorious side.
"This year's winners…"
He smiled.
"Slytherin House!"
The Slytherin students screamed and cheered loudly as the snow war finally came to an end.
