As Alexander landed in the Chamber of Secrets, he quickly realized something.
This isn't like the movie at all.
In the movie, it looked like Harry, Ron, and Lockhart walked in one direction and found Tom and Ginny.
But actually being in the Chamber of Secrets.
Alexander noticed it was a massive underground maze!
Stone steps twisted downward in every direction.
Ancient tunnels branched endlessly through the darkness.
Alexander didn't think and quickly picked a direction and ran.
He felt lost but kept running, trying to find the right path.
"This is ridiculous…"
"In the movie, Harry finds Ginny right away!"
He turned down another path.
"This place is a freaking maze."
After running through several passages, Alexander finally heard voices ahead.
He slowed down and quickly followed the voices.
Standing, Ron and Hermione were talking about moving the rocks to catch up to Harry.
Alexander shouted, "Move out of the way!"
Hermione quickly pulled Ron aside.
Alexander pointed his wand and shouted.
"Reducto Maxima!"
The huge rocks that were blocking the path shattered into tiny pebbles.
Hermione recovered and asked.
"What are you doing here, Alex?!"
He ignored her question and quickly ran down the pathway.
They were surprised by how he appeared here but chased after him.
Alexander arrived just in time to see a large stone door opening.
Standing there was Harry.
He was nervous and pointed his wand at Alexander.
Alexander stopped and shouted at Harry.
"Lower your wand away and move out of my way."
Harry still had his wand raised and only lowered it when he heard Hermione and Ron's voices.
Alexander ran into the chamber.
The trio regrouped and watched him rush inside the chamber.
Harry asked.
"…Was that Alex?"
Ron scratched his head.
"Yeah."
Hermione added.
"Alex showed up out of nowhere and blasted the rocks away and ran forward.
They talked as they ran after Alexander.
Once inside, Harry looked around the massive chamber.
Towering snake statues lined the walls.
He quickly said.
"This must be it! We're in the right place."
Meanwhile, Alexander had already sprinted across the chamber floor.
At the end of the chamber, he saw her.
Cho was lying there motionless on the stone floor.
"Cho!"
Alexander reached her and dropped to his knees beside her.
He carefully lifted her into his arms.
"Cho!"
"Are you okay?!"
"Wake up!"
"I'm here!"
His voice trembled slightly.
"I'm sorry I'm late…"
"Come on…"
"Please wake up…"
Footsteps echoed to the left of him.
Someone slowly walked into the chamber.
Alexander looked up.
Standing there with a smug smile was Gilderoy Lockhart.
"Hello, Mr. Chen."
Alexander stared at him coldly.
"…Hello, Professor."
He stood up with Cho in his arms.
He backed off slowly and said.
"So this is what you chose."
"To sell yourself."
"Why?!"
Lockhart spread his arms proudly.
"For power."
"For fame."
"For revenge."
His eyes narrowed.
"You embarrassed me far too many times, Mr. Chen."
He pointed his wand.
"Once I kill you…"
Lockhart stopped talking and noticed Harry, Ron, and Hermione had arrived.
Lockhart smirked.
"Oh?"
"Even better."
He began laughing.
"After I kill all of you…"
"I'll write a brand new book."
"How I discovered the Chamber of Secrets."
His grin widened.
"But sadly…"
"I arrived too late."
"The mighty basilisk had already taken the lives of five innocent students."
He chuckled.
"It will sell extremely well."
While Lockhart continued his dramatic rant, Alexander quietly carried Cho over to Hermione.
"Take care of her."
Hermione quickly caught Cho and nodded.
"I will."
Alexander looked at them seriously.
"Once I deal with this problem…"
"We're all leaving together."
He turned to Ron and Hermione.
"You two take Cho back to the entrance."
"It looks like Harry doesn't want to leave yet."
Ron protested.
"But we can help!"
Alexander looked at him flatly.
"With what spell?"
Ron froze.
Hermione immediately understood the meaning behind Alexander's expression.
She nodded firmly.
"Okay. We'll take care of Cho."
Together, Ron and Hermione carefully carried Cho toward the exit of the chamber.
Lockhart watched the entire scene with annoyance.
"Even when you're about to die…"
"You still ignore me."
