After a few seconds, Silver jumped out of the briefcase and landed gracefully beside Alexander.
"Here they come, Young Master!"
Then—
The Chamber of Secrets exploded with noise.
Cluck! Cluck! Cluck!
Tens of thousands of chickens burst out of the briefcase like a feathery storm.
Wings flapping and feathers flew everywhere.
The stone chamber filled with frantic clucking as the chickens scattered across the floor.
Harry stared in absolute disbelief.
"…What???"
Alexander laughed.
"Surround our snake friend!"
Silver immediately started running around.
Using magic, her voice projected.
"Circle formation!" the little house elf shouted dramatically.
The chickens obeyed.
Dozens… then hundreds… then thousands surrounded the massive basilisk.
More and more chickens stormed out of the briefcase.
The enormous serpent froze.
Its head quickly turned, but everywhere it moved—
Cluck cluck cluck cluck.
More chickens.
The basilisk hissed violently.
Even though it couldn't see.
A clucking sound echoed in all directions
Tom Riddle shouted furiously.
"What are you doing?!"
His voice echoed through the chamber.
"Attack!"
Tom kept shouting, but the clucking sound of tens of thousands of chickens drowned out his voice.
The basilisk turned left.
Chickens clucked.
It turned right.
More clucking.
Forward.
Clucking.
Behind.
Clucking.
The serpent began moving in circles, confused and enraged.
If the basilisk could see… it would have easily attacked or escaped.
But being blinded, it had no idea what kind of enemy it was facing.
From the basilisk's point of view, all it saw was that it was surrounded.
Alexander watched with excitement.
"Exactly as planned!"
Harry stared at the army of chickens.
"You… brought… chickens?"
Alexander shrugged.
"Preparation."
Then he turned toward Harry.
"Harry."
Harry blinked.
"Yeah?"
"Make sure to keep repairing the barrier until I come out," Alexander said.
Harry frowned.
"…Come out from where?"
Alexander pointed at the briefcase.
"Do not let anyone come near us."
Harry looked confused but nodded.
"…Okay."
Alexander turned back toward the chaos.
"Silver!"
"Yes, Young Master!" Silver quickly replied.
"Lead the basilisk into the briefcase."
Silver saluted dramatically.
"Yes, Young Master!"
Alexander shouted inside the briefcase.
"Copper! Get ready to guide it to its new home!"
Inside the briefcase, Copper's voice echoed faintly.
"Ready!"
The chickens began shifting positions under Silver's commands.
Clucking became louder.
Thanks to his house elves' training, the chicken made an opening toward Alexander.
The basilisk hissed in rage and charged through the opening.
The massive serpent lunged—
Alexander frowned slightly.
"…Maybe it's too big."
He raised his wand.
"To be safe."
"Reducio!"
The basilisk shrank slightly.
"Still too big, not small enough."
He raised his wand again.
"Reducio Maxima!"
The massive serpent shrank dramatically.
Tom screamed in disbelief.
"What have you done?!"
The basilisk shrank enough as it lunged into the briefcase.
After a few seconds, the tail completely disappeared into the briefcase.
The serpent was gone.
Alexander set the briefcase down.
Then he looked at Harry.
"Remember, Harry, keep the barrier up and make sure no one gets close."
Harry nodded his head in disbelief.
Alexander smiled.
"Good."
He turned his attention to Tom, who was still shocked about what had just happened.
"Oi! Tommy boy, follow me."
Alexander smirked.
"There's a reason I never let you inside my briefcase."
Then Alexander stepped in.
Tom hesitated and followed inside the briefcase.
Tom froze as he looked around the huge, magical landscape.
Green fields.
Forest.
Lakes.
He even saw stone bricks and lamp posts.
A fully constructed environment.
Tom's expression shifted between amazement and anger.
Alexander walked forward casually.
"Come on."
As they walked on the stone bricks, Tom noticed a sign pointing somewhere.
It read "Serpent Mountain."
Tom was dumbfounded, but soon he saw Alexander leading him toward a mountain.
Tom asked.
"What is Serpent Mountain?! Why are we going there?!"
Alexander smiled.
"Patient Tommy boy."
Once they got close to the mountain.
Tom noticed in the distance that a house elf was already guiding the thousands of chickens and the smaller basilisk into a cave.
Alexander said.
"That is Copper, my other house elf."
Copper was mainly in charge of leading the basilisk into the cave.
Silver acted as backup in case the serpent tried to escape.
The basilisk hissed weakly while being surrounded by tens of thousands of chickens.
Tom stared in shock. It took him a moment to realise what was happening.
He looked at Alexander and shouted.
"You planned this from the beginning!"
Alexander shrugged.
"Well, of course."
He smiled at Tom.
"Did you forget that I am a start student? I read a lot, and your attacks made everything obvious."
Tom clenched his fists.
Alexander continued talking.
"You are a talented wizard, Tommy boy, but as I said before, you lack common sense."
Silver ran over excitedly.
"Everything is ready, Young Master!"
She pointed proudly.
"Copper is watching the big snake!"
Alexander nodded.
"Now get everyone back up."
He noticed that there was enough space, and he waved his wand.
"Finite Incantatem!"
The spell on the basilisk was cancelled, and it grew back to its original size.
Then he walked closer to the basilisk.
Alexander observed the giant serpent once more.
It was injured and exhausted.
Alexander raised his wand.
"Somnium Maxima!"
A wave of magical sleep energy washed over the basilisk.
The serpent swayed slightly, but remained awake.
Alexander raised his wand again.
"Somnium Maxima!"
The basilisk's massive head slowly lowered.
Its body collapsed heavily onto the ground.
For extra safety measures, he waved his wand again.
"Somnium Maxima!"
Alexander turned to Silver.
"Go check if it is sleeping."
Silver cautiously approached.
She examined the giant serpent carefully.
Threw some rocks at it, poked it a few times, and let some chickens peck at it.
The serpent was not moving, and she returned.
"Asleep, Young Master."
Alexander nodded.
"Perfect. Now bring the chickens back home and make sure all our safety measures are in place."
The two house elves nodded and quickly ran off.
Tom was still in shock.
Alexander slowly began walking toward the giant sleeping serpent.
Tom only snapped out of it when he saw Alexander examining the serpent.
"Is this why you wanted to learn all those spells?! It was for this moment?!"
Alexander turned back to look at Tom.
"I really did enjoy our conversations."
Tom screamed.
"TELL ME!"
Alexander laughed.
"As I said before, you lack common sense."
Not getting the answer he wanted. Tom became hysterical and started laughing.
"You can't kill me! I almost have enough life energy!"
Alexander laughed too.
"Oh, Tommy boy."
He pulled the diary from his robe and began walking toward the mouth of the basilisk.
"It has been fun, and I learned a lot."
"When I meet the real Voldemort again…"
"I'll thank him for you."
Before Tom could say anything else—
Alexander already floated up to one of the basilisk's massive fangs and stabbed the diary.
The fang pierced the book.
Blood started to drip from the book.
Tom screamed.
"NOOOOOO!"
His body began to fade.
"I WAS SO CLOSE!"
Alexander watched calmly.
"Goodbye, Tommy boy."
Tom's ghostly body dissolved into smoke and vanished.
Silence returned.
Alexander waited for ten minutes.
He only pulled the destroyed diary off the fang once the blood stopped dripping.
Waving his wand, he cleaned it carefully with a spell.
He started to walk out of the cave.
Silver had just returned, and he told her.
"For now, every few hours cast Somnium on it."
Silver nodded seriously.
"Yes, Young Master."
Alexander turned back and gave the serpent one last look before walking out of the cave.
"I will think of a permanent solution soon. Remember to keep the barriers active around the mountain."
Silver nodded quickly as she followed him.
"Yes, Young Master."
Alexander smiled.
"Good job! And tell Copper he did a good job, too."
"I'll give you both a gift once we get back home."
Silver's eyes watered slightly.
"Yes… Young Master."
Alexander did one final inspection of the cave entrance and the mountain overall.
Everything was secured.
Satisfied, Alexander stepped back out of the briefcase into the Chamber of Secrets.
