Reason was humanity's most precious asset.
It was also the greatest difference between humans and animals.
Once that greatest advantage was abandoned, there was no longer any difference between a person and a wild beast.
At that moment, Mordo was no different from a beast.
His terrifying aura erupted without restraint.
He made no attempt whatsoever to control it.
Nor did he care how much energy was being wasted as it dispersed.
Even if Mordo launched an attack now, perhaps half of its energy would scatter before reaching its target.
How much power could possibly remain?
An extraordinarily evil will radiated from Mordo's body.
Everything that existed in the surrounding world parted around him like flowing water.
Laws, energy and even the air were completely isolated from him.
He seemed to have transformed into a black hole.
However, unlike an ordinary black hole, he repelled everything while crushing and overwhelming anything that approached him.
Dark mist continued billowing outward.
Mordo's figure emerged from within the black fog.
He swung both hands.
The power carrying that evil will shot directly toward Karl.
It resembled a meteor falling from the heavens.
A spherical mass of power flew at the front, trailing an astonishing stream of black mist behind it.
Its momentum was overwhelming.
The most dangerous part was the will that sought to devour everything.
Once it contaminated something, it could not be shaken off.
As the attack traveled through the air, it absorbed vast quantities of energy and fragments of Laws.
The farther it advanced, the more powerful it became.
"It can even devour other forms of power."
"That's quite an impressive attack."
Karl nodded.
Battles between high-level beings were ultimately fought in this manner.
Origins and Laws were essentially manifestations of an individual's understanding and interpretation of the world's rules.
A confrontation between Laws was therefore a confrontation between individual wills.
People could be strong or weak.
The Laws themselves possessed no such distinction.
Mordo was currently surrounded by an astonishingly evil will.
It had absorbed a vast amount of origin power, making it terrifyingly powerful.
The surrounding space was slowly beginning to fracture.
A crushing psychic pressure surged toward Karl.
Under that terrifying pressure, Karl was temporarily unable to use the Law of Space.
"A direct confrontation?"
"Fine."
"Perhaps I've relied on magic so often that no one remembers its true foundation."
"Let me see how much substance this power really has!"
A determined expression appeared on Karl's face.
Around him, the various Laws he had comprehended began condensing and converging.
His will continued to sharpen.
In an instant, a prismatic sword appeared before him.
The sword contained Karl's origin and his understanding of the Laws.
It also contained the will he had cultivated over so many years.
The prismatic weapon resembled a piece of flawless crystal.
It was extraordinarily beautiful, yet it radiated horrifying power.
The dark clouds in the sky instantly scattered.
Prismatic light shot into the heavens.
For a moment, even the sky changed color.
That terrifying aura spread across the entire Earth and continued far beyond the planet.
"Your struggle is meaningless."
"You cannot resist this supreme will."
"You will be devoured by its terrifying power!"
Mordo's sinister voice rang out.
"Devoured?"
"You think far too highly of that Dark God's power."
"His power may indeed be formidable, but you aren't capable of wielding it properly."
Karl snorted coldly.
No matter how powerful an ability was, its effectiveness still depended on the person wielding it.
The will of that Dark God was indeed terrifying.
However, Mordo was completely incapable of bearing its full power.
As he was now, Mordo was hardly worth mentioning.
Karl did not waste any more words.
The terrifying prismatic sword before him slashed forward.
In that instant, Time itself was cleaved into a branching stream.
The moment Karl attacked, countless changes appeared throughout the surrounding world.
Innumerable branches emerged across the timeline.
From the outside, it was possible to see that the flow of time around Karl and Mordo had become distinctly different.
A fissure had been cut directly through Time.
Space also underwent a transformation.
The entire region around them was severed from its original spatial position.
The domain they occupied no longer belonged to Earth.
Instead, it had been cast into the nearly endless deep-layer dimensions.
Those fragile dimensional realms could not withstand such a terrifying sword strike.
It was as though creation itself were being split apart.
Everything in existence was cleaved open by that prismatic light.
The astonishing evil will Mordo had fired could not withstand Karl's terrifying sword strike.
This was a strike that affirmed Karl's chosen path.
Perhaps Karl truly would have been unable to resist if the original owner of that evil will had descended in person.
However, the remnant of its will residing within Mordo was not enough.
It was nowhere near enough.
Like a red-hot blade slicing through butter, the attack wrapped in evil will was crushed apart.
It offered no resistance whatsoever.
That astonishingly evil will was instantly shattered by Karl's prismatic blade.
It was a complete domination of will.
The moment that will was destroyed, the evil aura vanished completely.
The immense prismatic sword continued slashing toward Mordo.
Mordo's expression changed drastically.
The evil will surrounding him surged forward to meet the descending light.
However, Karl's prismatic sword destroyed it with overwhelming ease.
There was no need to consider the sword itself.
The pressure and aftershocks produced merely by its descent were enough to shatter an entire world.
The surrounding space warped under that terrifying pressure.
The distortion was caused by the force acting directly upon Mordo's body.
His flesh and armor were deformed as though he were being subjected to an impossibly powerful wind tunnel.
Even the carapace covering his face shattered under the immense pressure.
Mordo's expression became filled with terror.
This power had completely surpassed his imagination.
He could even see the shadow of that great entity within Karl.
That will.
That power.
It was not something mortals could resist!
"Save me!"
"I'm willing to exchange my soul!"
Mordo felt the horrifying pressure descending upon him.
For the first time, he truly sensed death approaching.
The chilling dread filled him with uncontrollable fear.
Mordo knew that he could not stop the attack.
He offered up his most precious soul, allowing the deepest essence of his being to be violated.
He humbled himself completely, begging only to survive.
The evil will answered his plea.
The space above them abruptly split open.
An astonishing will descended.
Space itself was overturned by that terrifying power.
The entire world was suppressed.
An enormous fissure opened directly overhead.
An immeasurable torrent of will poured through it.
The sky changed color as the surrounding worlds began to collapse.
Hundreds of millions of nearby dimensional worlds were devoured and destroyed by that astonishing will, reduced to terrifying wastelands.
Karl suddenly had the distinct impression that this will had not descended to save Mordo.
It had come to devour and destroy the entire world.
